we find ourselves in the same spot. looks very similar to the illinois indiana game a few weeks ago where illinois gave the game away and indiana got the miracle cover. anyone think illinois evens it out and doesnt choke it away this time?

also dont forget the reason illinois lost to indiana at home .. free throw shooting... just 59% on the year, not good when games are close at the end ..

I wouldn't put too much stock in the Indiana game, if you watched the game you would know that Illinois had a lot of things/calls going their way - and hit some big threes which they are not doing well this year.. Yes, they lost the game at the end due to Pruitt's free throw shooting, but really that game should not be considered when capping tonight's game:
- The Indiana game was a HUGE game for this year's Illinois team, they had the game marked on their calendar since the day Gordon jumped ship to go to Indiana. This game against Wisconsin tonight means absolutely nothing to the Illini, they're pretty much mailing it in from here on out..
- McCamey and Pruitt had big games vs. Indiana - McCamey won't be scoring 31 tonight against Wisconsin, and I don't expect Pruitt to have a big game either, he always plays well against IU but he does struggle against Wisconsin - In the first meeting this year I think Pruitt only played half the game due to foul trouble, scoring like 8 or 9 points.
- Overall I think Wisconsin should win by 9 or 10 again.. Wisconsin is a sound defensive team, and Illinois just can't score points this year. Look for 7 footer Brian Butch to win the battle against Pruitt, and unless Illinois gets another huge game out of McCamey or Brock, I really don't see the Illini covering here.

Wisconsin will know Purdue lost last night and will be fired up to keep pace for first in the Big Ten.
I agree with ILL that McCamey will not go off for 31 guarded by the likes of Michael Flowers tonight, one of the best perimeter defenders in the big ten.
Randle and Pruitt are absolute garbage senior leaders, as we saw in the IU game. I expect this to continue, and if IL is in the game late, I doubt they will have the composure to finish with a W.
Pruitt will be shut down by Steimsma and Butch (who is the softest post defender ever btw. look for him to take 1 or 2 bullshit charges against Pruitt).
I'd also look for Weber to counter with Tisdale when Butch is in the game. Or at least I would if I was a coach. Both are 7 footers who sometimes fall in love with the 3 and are fairly soft inside.
For Wisconsin, we need to start off strong. We are not built to come from behind, as we saw in the Purdue game a few weeks ago.
The catalyst in this game is always Krabbenhoft, but I think the real difference-maker will be Hughes. He's been making terrible turnovers and launching forced shots lately. This needs to change if he's to be successful in the hostile environment of "Paint the Place Orange Night" or whatever the illini are calling it these days.
As a Wisconsin student who often has a negative outlook on our games, I believe we win this one in a grind-it-out classic Big Ten matchup by 6-10 points.

Good analysis, pretty spot on. It should be a grind tonight, neither team is that explosive - but I really don't see the Illini coming up with enough baskets to keep it any closer than 8 or 10. Wisconsin definitely has something to play for, and like I said Illinois is just coasting to the finish.

yeah but the 25% of sharps bet MORE than the 75% public so why not make this line look "fishy".
NO ONE ON HERE HAS BROUGHT THIS UP ALL YEAR WHICH MAKES ME QUESTION ALL OF YOUR JUDGMENT.
The trends have changed. It's not about the consensus, it's about how much the books can take back from last year and this year from the ones who win the most.
