Brown had plenty of chances last night as they were down 50-49 with 5:30 to go in the game and managed to give up 20 more points....disappointing to say the least bit. I feel like Rice and Brown have really been the right plays but just didn't get the bounces and efforts necessary. I am not losing confidence by any means, hence the two GOY plays for Saturday so here we go! ________________ Saturday:
I have faith in my research to the point where I have found a huge home let down spot. Today's GOY is going to be with the St. Peter's Peacocks of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). They have won 7 of their last 9 and are hot at the right time. St. Peter's won't win their conference in all likely hood but they are playing just how they want to heading into conference tournament times. Loyola Chicago have lost 4 of their last 6 coming in however they are coming off of an emotional OT win against their local rival Illinois Chicago. Games like that can be physically and mentally draining because they know their season is basically over and the final game against their rival is almost like a "Super Bowl" game. St. Peter's are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games overall with crucial wins against Rider and Siena(x2), Of their seven recent wins, they have totaled convincing victories of 10,12, 23, 20, 32, 9, and 8. They lost to Canisius by six and took Fairfield (MAAC 1st place team) to OT and lost by one. Loyola Chicago is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite and 0-6 in their last six ATS when facing teams with winning straight up records. St. Peter's are 35-17 ATS in their last 52 road games including non conference and 4-1 as an underdog of 0-6 points. On two days rest, St. Peter's are 3-0 straight up and 2-0 against the spread averaging almost 62 points per game and only giving up 55 per. Loyola are 0-2 straight up and 1-1 against the spread while only averaging 58 points but giving up 67 per. St. Peter's are 5-2 straight up on the road when scoring 55-69 points. Loyola are 1-5 straight up at home when scoring under 70. This is an interesting stat because St. Peter's have allowed the following point totals in road games this year: 55, 69, 52, 50, 56, 55, 62, 47, 54, and 57. They have given up 70+ three times on the road this season to Iona, Fairfield, and Lehigh who have a combined record of 52-27. Iona and Fairfield are 1st and 2nd in the MAAC, ahead of St. Peter's. Loyola Chicago have six conference wins, with five coming against the bottom 3 other than themselves. The Horizon league isn't as strong this year but when Loyola played the top tier teams they performed poorly. Their last four home games against the top four in the Horizon league resulted in four losses of 9, 11, 17, and 12.
Defensively, St. Peter's ranks highly among the nation's leaders. They rank 3rd in overall 2pt FG % (40)% defense and 4th overall in defending all "quality" FG (41%) shots in the country. You can attribute that to their rebounding skills on the offensive and defensive end. As far as overall effective defense goes, they rank in the top 100 nationally. St. Peter's only allows 30% shooting from the perimeter and Loyola only ranks 289th in the country at 37%. Loyola ranks 244th in the country in effective defensive FG % which is due to their soft zone they like to establish.
Ending the 2009/2010 season, Loyola lost their final five games. As they ended 2008/2009 they lost 9 of their last 11 including their final 3. Finally, in the 2007/2008 season they lost 3 of their final 4 games including 6 of their final 9....do you see the end of the year trend here? Stamina and mental fatigue are a big factor late in the year for a lot of teams. St. Peter's are playing with confidence knowing they have a shot to compete in the conference tourney at a high level. Loyola Chicago know their role in the Horizon with the top four devouring them all season long. Plus. Loyola just played that all important rivalry game on the road and won in OT. A lot has to be said about coaching.
When St. Peter's lost to Fairfield in OT, this is what Coach Dunne had to say; "It was a hard-fought game, but we can certainly make free throws better
and we spotted them 11 points to start the game," he said. "All that
being said we took them to overtime. I'm proud of the way we fought and
we have to understand now that we are just as good as anybody in the
league." Faith like that says a lot when a team battles back and invites the confidence back into their team. For Saturday afternoon I am playing the Peacocks of St. Peter's very large with the confidence they have shown me all season. This will be my 2nd GOY play on St. Peter's during this stretch and if it goes like the other team I played twice (W&M), it should work out well. What can I say, I love the mid majors!!

If you're gonna offering differing opinions, and troll my threads,
at least explain why you like another side. Get some good discussion.
_____
Found this in one of your own threads....maybe take some of your own medicine and go back to school for grammar? At least your math seems fine.
Can't help autofix at work. It doesn't understand forum talk.
I am sharing my opinion. I am not in here rooting for the other side, not ripping your picks. Contrary to the popular belief, I hope you win your wager. I just think you do it in the wrong manner. It isn't fair to the people who aren't familiar, who are lurkers who see that.
If you pick winners, people will read your thread.
A game of the year is self explanatory. Have 9 in one month, 4 in the last 3 days is an absolute joke.

Guess what? I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree and move forward. Whining and crying isn't going to get you anywhere. You have stated your opinion, now move on and troll elsewhere.
Good luck to those who take interest! Busting my ass to help myself and the covers forum!

This isn't sharp.... just apply common sense and be understanding that people that don't have accounts here will be tailing because they see a game of the year.

What happens when you actually do have your biggest play of the year?
Sharp, this GOY shit really gets under your skin, huh? I get your point about 4 GOYs in 3 days and all, but shit, what does it matter what BANK calls it? Never interject in meaningless non-sports talk like this, so I'll leave it at that...just dont understand the hostility, bro.

Hey sharpshit,
Why don't you stop bothering the guy about his plays and worry about your own damn plays. Obviously no one gives a crap about your shitty "Just got the Call" plays anymore so you start hating on someone elses thread. This guy made me money so far and all we need is some pathetic loser to push away someone who is giving us winners. He can call it whatever the hell he wants, as long as we win, thats all i give a shit about. Get a life sharpshit!!!! "The call" tells you to go away.

trizzle,
I know this is your first time gambling and your really excited your up a couple bucks but what are you gonna do when this guy goes tout and stops posting his plays for free? Only reasons tools like this post GOY or POY type shit is to gain attention and then move on to a pay site or get your email address, etc. If this wasn't your first time to covers or your 10th post you might know this already.
Cap your own games and see if some of the better (NON attention needing person) cappers on the site are on the same pick. Sharp has a valid point. How many fucking game of the years can you have in a week...
