1) Are the Niners throwing the season playing Kap?
2) Personal politics aside, are there some players on O or D who are so miffed at Kap's social commentary they aren't giving their all while he starts? Is this evident to the naked eye or just internal sabatoging if you answer yes?

Thanks.
I feel like I can answer this pretty well as a lifelong 49ers fan.
1) No, as sad as this may be, Kap is the best QB on the team. Gabbert is just straight up garbage. Ponder you could argue that he is a slightly better Gabbert.
2) Nope, absolutely zero signs that Kap's protest has anything to do with their play. The problem is an extreme lack of talent and that stems directly from Jed York/Trent Baalke continually wasting draft picks on defensive players that don't pan out, completely ignoring skill players on offense. Instead you're stuck with Jeremy Kerley as their best pass catcher, a guy they picked off the street a week before the season starting. Once Bowman got hurt, the run defense completely fell apart. The problem is the head of the organization, until that changes, this will be a bottom feeding franchise.

What are your thoughts on LA getting almost the same line tonight vs GS that OKC got last night?
It's against their old coach (Walton) and they just won a big game. Too many variables here. If I had to bet, I'd bet Lakers (I can't see them wanting to stick it to Walton so they might take their foot off the gas pedal if they are winning at the end) but I wouldn't bet on such a game.

Scal,
Amazatron is right on both counts but you might be as well. I've heard on local talk shows both issues being discussed. But the 2nd half tanking might have more to do with the coaching staff (lack of adjustments, a tired defense that is pissed off and does not give a crap, etc).

Never thought about the "Sticking it to Luke" angle. Should have posted that one BB.
Yeah, Scal. I don't have time for write-ups my friend, and I don't want to get involved any more than I am (just some chitchat here and there). But I will tell you this, now that I'm not betting, I seem to be able to get 3 out of every 4 games right. It's amazing how difficult it is to be objective once money is involved. I guess that's because of the emotions attached to the money. Glad to see you using psychology to beat the books.
