After flood of Packers money, late action coming in on 49ers

After taking one-sided action on Green Bay all week, books are beginning to get bets on San Francisco as Saturday’s NFC Divisional Round matchup inches closer.

Books had been fighting to stay on the key number of -3 all week, frantically adjusting the juice as bettors sided with the Packers at a near 4-to-1 pace. But, according to Aron Black of, action on the hometown Niners has picked up Saturday.

Some books did move off the key number, dipping to -2.5 after opening as high as San Francisco -3.5. Most markets are now dealing a field goal again with late action buying back the 49ers.

“Money is definitely coming back on San Francisco, so we are much more balanced on the spread,” Black told Covers. “But straight-up money still likes Green Bay by a pretty good margin on single plays.”

Earlier this week, reported that bettors were jumping on the Packers moneyline at a 6-to-1 ratio. Green Bay opened as a +145 underdog to win straight up and is now as low as +120, with San Francisco coming back at -141.

As for the total, money is leaning slightly toward the under. The number opened at 45.5 and came down to 44.5 before moving back to 45.
