Jakob Chychrun scored twice to lead the visiting Arizona Coyotes past the St. Louis Blues 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Clayton Keller had a goal and an assist and Conor Garland had two assists for the Coyotes, who won their second consecutive game against the Blues. Darcy Kuemper earned the victory by stopping 24 of 25 shots.

Robert Thomas scored for the Blues before departing the game with an upper-body injury. Ville Husso made 16 saves on his 26th birthday.

The Blues and Coyotes will play for the fourth time in seven days in St. Louis on Monday night due to COVID-19 postponements elsewhere.

The Blues were hoping for a faster start, but the Coyotes took a 1-0 lead just 2:50 into the game.

Arizona got an easy zone entry with the Blues changing lines and Chychrun took advantage. He moved in from the blue line, took Keller's centering pass from behind the net and slipped a shot between Husso and the left post.

But the Blues tied the game 1-1 just 75 seconds later. After Colton Parayko shot wide of the net, Thomas banked home the loose puck with second effort.

That was his first goal of the season on just his fifth shot. But about 5 1/2 minutes later Thomas exited the game and left the Blues with just 10 forwards in the lineup.

Keller put the Coyotes up 2-1 with a power-play goal 10:44 into the second period. He took a lead pass from Phil Kessel and broke in on left wing to beat Husso with a one-on-one move.

The Blues tried to pull Husso for an extra attacker in the last two minutes of the game, but an interference penalty called on Jaden Schwartz denied them a 6-on-5 advantage.

They pulled Husso anyway and Chychrun iced the game with an empty-net goal with six seconds left.

The Coyotes also had to finish the game shorthanded. They lost forward Drake Caggiula after just six shifts due to a lower-body injury.
