Justin Tucker set an NFL record by making a 66-yard field goal as time expired to give the Baltimore Ravens a 19-17 road win at the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Tucker's kick hit the crossbar and then bounced over it, sending Baltimore (2-1) into a wild celebration and stunning the Lions.

Matt Prater held the old mark of 64 yards. Prater made the kick for the Denver Broncos in 2013 against the Tennessee Titans.

Two plays before Tucker's kick, Baltimore converted a fourth-and-19 to the Detroit 48-yard line on a 36-yard pass from Lamar Jackson to Sammy Watkins. That was the Ravens' lone third-down conversion in 10 attempts.

Jackson went 16-of-31 passing for 287 yards for the Ravens. He also rushed for 58 yards on seven carries.

Jared Goff went 22-of-30 passing for 217 yards in defeat for the Lions (0-3).

The Ravens opened up the scoring on a 39-yard field goal by Tucker with 10:05 left in the second quarter, and then took a 10-0 lead with 3:15 remaining until halftime on a 19-yard touchdown pass from Jackson to Devin Duvernay.

Baltimore took a 13-0 lead with 12:16 remaining in the third quarter on a 50-yard field goal by Tucker, but the Lions responded on their next drive.

Detroit mounted an 11-play, 75-yard drive and cut its deficit to 13-7 with 5:21 left in the third on a 2-yard touchdown run by D'Andre Swift.

Baltimore extended its lead to 16-7 with 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter on a 32-yard field goal by Tucker.

The Lions answered again, mounting another long drive and cutting Baltimore's lead to 16-14 on a 1-yard touchdown run by Jamaal Williams with 8:16 remaining.

The score capped off a 12-play, 75-yard drive that took 7:25 off of the clock.

Following an interception by Amani Oruwariye that gave the Lions the ball at their own 21-yard line, Detroit drove down the field and took a 17-16 lead with 1:04 remaining on a 35-yard field goal by Ryan Santoso.

Baltimore outgained the Lions 387-285.
