I say this game will be fun to watch..hope there's snow....could be high scoring..let's see if Ball St can handle the weather there...

Are they calling for a blizzrd for this game??...I see the total opened at 34.5   These teams can put that up in their sleep if the weather is right.....better check on this one.....

Chip, I know that you know that Ball St. is in Muncie, Indiana.  It's not like this team is coming from Florida to play.  A couple of snow flakes and sub-freezing temperatures shouldn't be a game breaker for them.
 
Ball St. is the real deal!!!  As long as the weather isn't crazy this should be a great game.  I'm hoping to just watch, but will probably get sucked in over the next couple of days.
 
I do know that Central HAS to improve from their last half of football they came within yards of losing last week vs. NIU!!!

CMU is a live dog at home, leaning toward the pts +7, Over also probably around the 60's .

I always take CMU as a dog... LaFevour is a fighter and he won't go down by dd's... they are 4-1 as dogs this year (the 1 being against georgia, but honestly who would have messed with them there).  It's been a while since ball st. has beaten them, and going into CMICH is not usually a recipe for success... added to that, i've got 7 pts... i'm all over it.

Ball St. Last 3 games averege score 38 to 15. Offense and defense rated at 12 - 51.
 
C.Mich. Last 3 average score 31 to 29. Offense / defense rated 30 - 99.
 
Ball St. looking good except can't forget they have lost the last 4 games against C.Mich. by an average of 10 points.

I don't know if I can cover 7 on the road when the conference regular season title is up for grabs........this game is one that I don't think you can do anything with except take the dog or the over.......whichever you are more comfortable with.......I may just sit on the sidelines and enjoy it since I'm a BSU alum.........besides, they have failed to cover the chalk in 2 of the last 3 or 4 games now because Vegas is tired of getting killed by them........They do owe Central a butt kicking though......Central has owned them and I wouldn't be surprised if BSU ran them off there own field with that 99th ranked defense. 
 
It will be fun watching Nate and Dan set sites down the field in this one though..........If BSU runs at will with McQuale........it's over though.

Whole bunch of MAC teams play in Weeknight...this is the best one in the group...I am leaning to HOME dog so far. Will check the line if I will be able to get @ 7.5. C. Michigan too.
Can believe oddmakers set this one right to money..B.S -.6 to 7.

New to this classic rivalry... But with seeing both teams play in prime time a couple of times this season, I'am taking Cent. Mich with the points...

redwally, If you saw CMU play last week against N. Ill. I don't see how you can pick them. Their defense was awful in the 2H. Have they played better in previous games. When I saw how poor their D was, I couldn't wait to take Ball State. Not happy that it is at CMU though and the CMU QA LaFeavre is a good one. But that D will give up 35+ unless the snow stops Ball State. GL

Ok here are some early thoughts.....

I know, I know it seems like a gift from god, you like CMU so much at -2 you love em even more now getting 7. Well I have a feeling the line moved for a reason.  I also suspect that the total of this game may be lower than people think. Maybe ball state blanks CMU 17-0. Im doing more research and will get back to the grindstone tomorrow

If the weather is OK, Nate Davis should have no problem moving the ball on the 114th ranked pass defense.  Ball St has been making me good money this year, and Im stickin with em. GL all

FYI, besides Covers.com, everywhere I checked had Ball State opened at -6.

Ball State has a chance for the BCS.  True, they lost to Central Michigan the past couple of years, but they are awesome this year. 
 
Let it snow, as long as the wind is NOT blowing like 15 to 20 MPH.
