I'm turning in my notice tomorrow (I have it all printed up already) and my new position with the competitor will pay me literally 50% more than what I'm making now! Mind you, I'm not making a what I would call a good income now, but that is about to change. Monday!
Hell yeah! If there is one thing I've learned here it is that hard work really does pay off. I have busted my ass for the last five years, and although I was passed up for promotion a couple months ago, I made my own promotion.
NEVER GIVE UP! I KNOW YOU'VE SEEN AND/OR HEARD THIS PHRASE BEFORE, AND I'M GLAD I NEVER DID. I'M HEADED TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND I WILL TAKE IT TO YET A HIGHER LEVEL SOON.
And all I hope for is that one person out there reads this and gets the smallest amount of motivation possible. And that it does him good. How cool would it be for me to read this thread a few months from now on Covers to discover a reply that encouraged someone to keep going? That, to me, would be very cool. VERY COOL INDEED.
Not to ramble, but I do want to add that I've only had some college education. Never graduated. Long story and I'm not gonna bore you. I was raised in a lower middle class family. They couldn't pay my college tuition. I paid for as much as I could. My point is this: We all have obstacles. But we can all overcome them. Everyone one of us.
I've had a couple beers and I hope this thread isn't the most laughed about in Covers' history. Then again, if it is, fuckin' A!
