Northwestern will be close to pk at Cal.
Scar will be close to 14 at home vs UNC
ok st should be -13 but prob closer to 7-7.5
U might be right about ark-19 vs la-Lafayette but that's the upset of the week, I make that line 7

might be a long trip for the Wildcats ..... Cal decent at home !! anything less than -3.5 and I am in

it is indeed to early, but based on Sagarins final power ratings last year...I like the following 3 for week 1, so far...
Texas -38 (Home) over New Mexico State (
Texas seems to still be in flux...But, showed well against a good Oregon St team in the Alamo Bowl. If Texas wants to dominate it will. Honestly, I think the fans will expect a dominating performance with a strong stable of RB's, an improving Ash at QB, and a D with Diaz the DC under fire, to produce...It will hurt for the D to use Okafor and Vararo, a 2nd and 1st rounder) but I think an improved scheme will make this D stronger.
Texas 56
NMST 3
Northwestern -13 over California (Home)
Fitzgerald is a good coach and seems to have NW believeing...Sonny Dykes is the new coach at Cal and will eventually turn them into winners. But, Tedford left the cupboard bare. Only 9 returning starters 4 and 5, new schemes, new coach, and a well coached NW team spells trouble for Dykes in his debut...there seems to be excitement in Berkeley for Dykes...give him 2-3 years, with all that home grown Oakland North Bay Talent, and he will have them winning again...
Oklahoma State -7 over Mississippi State (Neutral - Reliant @Houston)
two good coaches, good matchup...Big XII v SEC. both return QB's and schemes...Ok St lost their starting RB to the NFL. I just think Ok St's O firepower and improving D will facilitate a cover.
I know its to early, the college rags have not even come out...this is just my prelim analysis. the only thing the DFW Metroplex that involves contested sports these days is the Masters.

I think you should stick to ur guns with 24 usc/ Hawaii. that game was -40 last year in USC, when they were ranked #1. Breaking in a new qb and traveling to Hawaii.
USC 35-17

While I agree ... the back door might be left open ... something Like 20-7 ????

no way NW gets +7.5...NW will be the favorite by 10+
DUFL - do you think a Cal team with 6 returning starters will be favored over a pretty good NW team?

Not so sure what to do with this one
guessing the line around 23/24.5

Miami has struggled going 7-5 last year, and they face sanctions, but i think they they are set at QB and RB, return 19 starters, and SH et al decided to come back for their senior years. Sure, Pellini's Mighty Mights at FAU played folks tough last year, but I think Vegas will factor that in. Da U still ownsthe florida region and I see a classic cane beat down at home to kick off the season.
