Josh Hamilton and Adrian Beltre aren't in tonight's lineup against Toronto.
Hamilton is still battling back stiffness and continues to be day to day. Beltre was sore a day after going 3 for 5, but is available as a pinch hitter.
"Turf is never good on my legs," Beltre said. "They don't want to make it any worse. I don't know if I'm going to play tomorrow."
Here are a few other notes:
* The Rangers have set their rotation following an off day on Thursday. Matt Harrison is scheduled to pitch on Wednesday in Toronto, and then Colby Lewis, Derek Holland and Yu Darvish will pitch this weekend's three-game series at Cleveland. Harrison will then come back on regular rest to start on Monday at Baltimore followed by Neftali Feliz, Lewis and Holland.
* That rotation schedule, coupled with how the Los Angeles Angels are set, could make the May 11 game be a Darvish-C.J. Wilson pitching duel. "That means we should have a full house," Ron Washington said. "Hopefully we'll have some more distance between them before they arrive."
* Manager Ron Washington praised Yu Darvish on how he's handled the transition to the big leagues. Washington recalled a meeting with Darvish early in spring training when he laid everything out on what the team expected. "This guy loves to do his job," Washington said. "That's the passion you want from all of your players."
