Well, I woke up this morning and my BetJam account has become a Heritage Sports account. I changed the thread title appropriately.
Opening Balance: $1100.00 Current Balance: $1369.83 Yesterday's Contributors: Fishscale & LVTruck Yesterday's Results: +$269.83 Year To Date Results: +$269.83
How did this begin? Hard to say.
Do I expect it to be profitable? Hard to say.
Is there a rhyme or reason to the process? Hard to say.
Now
that we've cleared that up, the basic idea behind this thread will be
to analyze the performance of top cappers in the forums here at Covers
and use their daily picks in order to build this bankroll to $10,000 or
$0.00. It's a pseudo-blind tail because I will be selecting cappers
based on daily performance and trends, so not entirely "blind."
This should be fun!
I'm going to post the tickets for the bets once I select the cappers I'm going to use. So, bare with me.
Let the games begin!
Oh yeah. If you have a problem with this concept, please find another thread to post in. It's in your best interest to follow the manifesto while posting on Covers.
07.23.2011 SJP's Thoughts: It's hard to really say that the outlook of online sports betting is for United States customers. Although Heritage Sports is one of the top rated bookmakers (working through invitation only), it's not a good feeling to wake up and have your money moved and account transferred. What's the real reasoning behind this account transfer?
The only "safe" way to gamble in the United States is live in a legally sanctioned book. Does that mean serious bettors will have to relocate? If you want your money to be safe, then yes, I'd say so. You may counter with a local as an alternative option, but who's to say your local doesn't get busted, or ditches his/her clientele altogether?
Sports betting online continues to die for American customers.

I'm amazed at the people who consciously take their time to bash you, SJP....
I agree, it's actually pretty comical. I do my own homework and pick my own games. Then go into some of these threads of people I respect as cappers and if they match up with my picks, I may throw some more money on them. Why do get so much joy out of ripping other people??

I agree with you npearl, but at the same time I find it sort of fascinating. Its almost a perfect view of group psychosis or even the mob mentality. Instead of putting a perfectly good resource to good use, its almost like some of these individuals want to fail. Maybe its a release for them? Regardless, its a true pitty we can just all get along.
Good luck today SJP, keep up the good work. People DO appreciate the work you do!

There's no point in trying to understand it, ya know? It is what it is.

I appreciate it. I enjoy a lot of the members on Covers otherwise I wouldn't be a columnist for the website or spend time interacting i the forums.
The ironic thing is that some people assume the forum is a place for me to engage readers when in reality, the majority of my readers don't post in the forums. They're all the "Covers Contests" folks who have 0 posts and don't even care the forum exists.

I was just asking that on my daily forum post (Pricetopher's Picks - if you want to take a look). It seems pretty steep, Boston too... I couldn't do it.
