On VSin Gil Alexander, one of the hosts, LOVES betting these props and has followed them and given out good advice for years.
He believes the first will be "Can't stop the Feeling" Timberlake's current most popular song by far.
Here is the problem and why the odds are what they are:
Gil has confirmed that Timberlake has done a run-through of his Halftime Performance and the employees in the stadium have confirmed that the first song was "Dirty".
Now my personal research has revealed the following:
From Prince, to Lady Gaga, to Bruno Mars to Beyonce, ALL of them started with a BIG HIT and a popular one at that.
Filthy was released on 1/4/2018. It has 48 million views on youtube and is a catchy song, but certainly not one that compares to "Can't stop the Feelin'" or other Timberlake hits (I'm Bringing Sexy Back).
If he opens with this song as his practice set infers, it will be unconventional in terms of other SB halftime show acts. But it will give the song the exposure Timberlake desires for his new album.
Sort of torn on this one at the moment.
Odds have DROPPED from -350 to -245 on Filthy being the first song in the past half hour.

Welp, I have 10 units on the Super Bowl... Ill put .1 units on the half time song, degeneration at its best but sounds like you're slowing unwrapping this riddle to a positive expected value - whats our play Scal?

Confirmed that his practice run-through had Filthy first.
You’d practice the songs out of order?
Why would be practice Filthy first if that wasn’t the first song?
Haha, you can understand that this bet is lower on the priority chain given the plays.. some thoughts that come to mind
1) Gil Alexander believes will be "Can't stop the Feeling" Timberlake's current most popular song by far yet that the stadium employees have confirmed that the first song is Filthy? Does he provide any color on why he believes "Cant stop.." is the song? Because its the most popular?
2) I am going to take a look at the first song played by past performers if I get the chance - always famous sure, but is it the most famous? most current? always famous but really trend beyond the predilictions of the artist?
3) Odds coming down is concerning... Too much to be attributed to public playing plus odds

The Prince prop has been taken down. It was up there on 5Dimes before.
Titus, the only reason Gil is saying that is because of his track record (he's never been wrong on this specific prop) and because "Can't Stop the Feelin'" was the the first song they had up for the prop.
But as you know, it doesn't have to be that song to win the prop, only NOT Filthy.
Filthy is a pretty good song though for what it is worth, I'll say that. In terms of a futuristic intro to the SB halftime show (which I could see them doing).

Where exactly was it confirmed which song was rehersed first? First song was "Dirty", I m assuming they meant "Filthy"??
For the last 2 years, I have found on a message board of the artist a set list leaked ahead of time but not this year. I have found a single Justin Timberlake message board, WTF?!?
Odds have some down significantly in the past 30 minutes to Any other sing is +125. Just now came back up to +150.

All clothing props went down at 5dimes within the last 20 minutes:
Shoe color
Whether he will have a hat on
Whether he will wear a headset mic
Gil also mentioned the guy singing America the Beautiful know he was talking about betting the over of 81 seconds. Very high juice on that currently at -565. Was at -590 earlier.

If Filthy is going to be the first song and its know, why are the odds dropping on it? Its now down to -165? I guarantee people would be pounding it if it was that much of sure bet, Gil included.
Gil Alexander was wrong last year. Coldplay came out to the music of "Yellow" even though they didnt sing the song. I found this on a Coldplay message board last year about 2 hours before the game. Bet every single dollar on it in my 5dimes account.
