Penn State comes into this game on a high note beating down putrid Illini in Champaign in their best all around team performance of the year. There is a chance the Lions come out a bit flat in this one as they had a lot of anger built up for that game. However, PSU is 5-0 ats in first halves this year outscoring opponents at an alarming rate. If you are asking me to pick a side in this one I wont, psu has shown over the years with the old offense they can power run the football all over NW smaller front and have their way scoring above 30 year in and year out. However, I think the psu defense is in for a regression as they do not rush the passer well, have trouble with misdirection plays, and their secondary sans Amos is pretty beatable. I have said it before, you can beat the psu defense if you have a passing game and get the ball downfield, much like UVA and Ohio did in their come from behind victories. New DC Roof loves the blitz and it has not had much success this year. If you want to grind it out and play smash mouth with this psu defense you play right into their hands. This NW offense very well could be their kryptonite. Problem is, I cant trust a NW defense to be able to stop an improved McGloin, a team that has run the ball better, BOBs offense which has churned out yards but have left at least 10 points on the board each week. A lot has to do with the kicker, so tough to back them in what should be a tight game though i dont feel this one comes down to Sam Fricken Ficken.
Bottom line, think both teams can score on each other and if history is an indicator psu should get their 30+ here. Ohio put up 24 and dont have much doubt NW will hit their 20+ here with similar dual threat qb and offense that runs misdirections.

The over 48 is the play.
Good luck and bet wise!
I personally believe your evaluation to be a very lucid, concise and well thought out one. I might only add that I suspect the NW offense will outscore PSU so I like the ML as well.

Penn State has had 2 unders that were decided by the other team not being able to score on a late 4th quarter drive. Illinois got to the PSU 1 and Navy to the 15 or 20 yard line.
I'm not playing it but I like the over here, too. I think NU covers or wins. Best offense PSU has faced since Houston in their last bowl game.

Nice call bro like the over ... also love Penn State .... I wonder why! hahhahahhaha
all jokes aside why is a team who is 3.-2 favor over a 25 top rank team who is also undefeated .. cause vegas wants you to take NW .... Penn State wins by a TD!!!
