Wow coming fron a guy who said Sanders was one of best players ever? Not ever close to being best CB ever.
Learn how to pay attention to detail you dumb fuck. I said one of the best ATHLETES ever. Only player to ever appear in a superbowl and a world series. But sine you are a retard and want to argue something I did not say, WHO THE FUCK IS BETTER THAN SANDERS AT CB? Yeah you are a complete bafoon.

No you are taking my words out of context. I am just saying he is no where near being a hall of famer. He hasnt won shit. He will not be in the hall of fame, period. Dan Marino is on a different level than Matt Ryan.

benhogan, woodson is a good choice because he played so long, you could make an argument that he's the best of all time. i'm not sure they kept these stats back then, but i would love to see the stats on how many times receivers covered by sanders weere targeted when he played. i bet those numbers are off the charts. qb's just didn't throw to his side. but woodson played forever and moved to safety when he lost some speed and did well there. different kinds of players but woodson might be better overall.

Really wasnt looking to start fight but guess my 1st post may have seemed like I was, I was never a Sanders fan so maybe I am biased. Great all around athlete but thought he was overrated as a football player. To each there own.

I ment to say top 10. Ill take Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Aaron Rogers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Ben Rothlesberger, Matt Shaub, Matthew Stafford, Matt Ryan, Phillip Rivers. I would probably take Vick over Ryan if he had a better offensive line honestly.

At the end of the day Matt Ryan and the Falcons will fold again in the playoffs. Matt Shaub and the Texans is the best team in the NFL win or lose tonight. They will win the SB.

Walter Payton, Emmit Smith, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, John Elway, countless lineman, etc.
looking at the stats
definitely not aikman, didn't play as long, first twio seasons were terrible, 3rd season no good, last season terrible and several other average seasons. not even close.
obviously payton was a stud but didn't play as long and had 3 either bad or injury shortened seasons. part of gonzalez's greatness is he's done it 15 years and counting.
possibly emmitt but didn't play as long and last three seasons were pretty average
favre played forever but had some real disaster seasons and gonzalez hasn't. gonzalez blows him away in the consistency department. he's never had a season as bad as several of favre's.
montana is close. he played 15 seasons but only played 15 or 16 in fewer than half. gonzalez is much betetr in the longevity and consistency departments.
marino is close but not in the same league from a durability standpoint, but then again no one is which was part of my point.
elway not even close. he was very durable but had several bad or average seasons throughout his career. gonzalez has basically killed it every year after his second which is amazing since a tight end is so reliant on not just the QB but the offensive scheme and is almost never the first option for an offense.

i never liked sanders, always thought he was an arrogant prick, although he was funny at times. but he was the first shutdown corner.
i would say bo jackson is the best athlete i've ever seen. huge tragedy that he go hurt.

which linemen?
Again I am biased as I was a huge Aikman fan but I feel like he may be one of the most underrated QBs just cause of all the talent around him.

that's close to what i would have except i'd have stafford lower and wouldn't have vick anywhere near that group. and i have no idea where to put eli.
i also think the falcons lose early in the playoffs this season.

To be fair to Elway he never had any talent around for what 80% of his career?

aikman had incredible talent, from amazing OL to fullback to emmitt to great receivers. that was a dream offense for a QB. but he was an awesome qb. he just wasn't as consistent and didn't do it for as long as gonzalez.
but it's hard to compare qb's and tight ends, although tight end is a brutal position to play, blocking defensive linemen, going over the middle and getting hammered by safeties and linebackers when receivers won't do it. that's another amazing part of gonzalez playing so many games every season.

Favre has had only 2 losing seasons out of 20, how is that for consistency? Gonzolous has 6 out of 15. Let me guess your response: "Well, it is not Tony's fault. He is just a TE". EXACTLY. That is why he can never be considered the best NFL player of all time.
How many SB titles does Tony have? Has he even been to a SB?

just finished his 16th season, played in all 16 games in of them except one where he played in 15 games. the guy has lost one fumble since 2000. the guy is 36 years old, more than twice as old as many people posting on this forum and he just had another huge season. and he's mostly played with average qb's.
