Le’Veon Bell ran for a 2-yard touchdown with 1:24 left to make it a one-possession game, but Oakland recovered the onside kick and Pittsburgh ran out of time on its last chance.

Pryor began the game with the longest run by a quarterback in NFL history, breaking through after the Raiders were called for a penalty on the opening kickoff. Oakland blocked a punt later in the first to set up a 7-yard touchdown run by McFadden that made it a 14-0 lead.

McFadden added a 4-yard scoring run on a direct snap with 1:55 left in the second to send the Raiders into the break with a 21-3 edge. The Steelers finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter, when Roethlisberger and Emmanuel Sanders made Oakland pay for a lost fumble with a 9-yard scoring pass to cut it to 21-10.
