Oklahoma State 58, Purdue 14:
Clint Chelf went 17-for-22 for 197 yards and three touchdowns and J.W. Walsh added a pair of passing scores as the Cowboys crushed the Boilermakers in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Jeremy Smith added a rushing score and five different receivers found the end zone for Oklahoma State (8-5), which forced five turnovers in winning its third straight bowl game.

Sixth-year senior quarterback Robert Marve went 21-for-34 for 212 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for Purdue (6-7). Akeem Shavers rushed for 93 yards and caught four passes for 54 yards for the Boilermakers, who failed to secure their second winning season in the last five campaigns.

The Cowboys’ quick-strike offense took advantage of Purdue’s mistakes in the first quarter, using only four plays and 1:19 to score their first touchdown and needing only 25 seconds for Chelf to find Blake Jackson for a 7-yard score 1:19 later.

Oklahoma State stretched it out to 28-0 at the half and pushed it to 45-0 before the Boilermakers finally got on the board with 18 seconds left in the third quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
New Purdue coach Darrell Hazell watched from the stands. Hazell, who was hired at the end of the regular season, will take over the program after guiding Kent State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Sunday. … Shavers had to be helped off the field after fumbling with 10:01 left in the game. … Oklahoma State RB Joseph Randle was held to 66 yards on 17 carries but the Cowboys totaled 213 yards on the ground and 524 overall.
