Allen Bradford ran for 212 yards and a touchdown and caught a 47-yard scoring pass to lead USC over UCLA 28-14 in a Pac-10 contest at the Rose Bowl Saturday night.

USC has won four straight in series.

The Trojans (8-5, 5-4 Pac-10) never trailed in the game. They scored first on a 5-yard pass from Dillon Baxter to Rhett Ellison. UCLA tied the game at 7 on a 59-yard run by Johnathan Franklin.

Franklin, however, fumbled late in the second quarter and Malcolm Smith returned the loose ball 66 yards for a touchdown to give the Trojans a 14-7 lead.

Neither team managed any offense in the third quarter but USC took the opening possession of the fourth quarter 97 yards for a touchdown capped by 47-yard pass from Matt Barkley to Bradford to make it 21-7.

Bradford then ran 73 yards for a touchdown on USC’s next possession.

Before the game, dozens of fans brawled in a Rose Bowl parking lot resulting in two men being stabbed and two police officers receiving minor injuries. An estimated 50 to 75 fans of both schools fought three hours before the game.

The game was played without incident.
