The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Wednesday that they signed a partnership deal with PrizePicks, making the DFS operator their official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner.
California receives more daily fantasy sports lineups than any other state in part because it has not legalized sports betting.
Key Takeaways
- PrizePicks will get exclusive marketing opportunities in the Dodgers’ stadium and online.
- Dodgers fans could win tickets to future games through sponsored giveaways.
- The Astros and Padres also partnered with PrizePicks this year.
The Dodgers and PrizePicks have at least one commonality: they are at the forefront of their respective industries.
LA, which is led by megastar Shohei Ohtani, won the 2024 World Series 4-1 over the New York Yankees last year. PrizePicks, meanwhile, is the leading platform for popular “pick’em” games, in which customers select players to go higher or lower than a specific prop line.
“Partnering with the Dodgers is an incredible opportunity to align with one of the most respected organizations in sports,” said PrizePicks chief marketing officer Mike Quigley. “As the Dodgers chase another championship title, we’re looking forward to delivering unique moments that bring fans even closer to the action.”
The multi-year deal will give PrizePicks access to prominent branding locations inside Dodger Stadium, including banners inside the concourse and LED signs on the outfield pavilion. PrizePicks will also receive promotion on the Dodgers’ social media accounts and multimedia channels.
Dodgers fans can also receive free tickets to a future game and a free PrizePicks lineup if they win a contest on the Dodgers’ social media, which will be triggered any time they score 10 runs in one game during the 2025 season.
PrizePicks increases its reach
The announcement, shared by the Dodgers, MLB, and PrizePicks, included a note about the DFS platform’s responsible gaming efforts.
“As PrizePicks continues to expand to new markets, investment into responsible gaming remains a key focus,” the announcement read. “In 2025, PrizePicks was awarded iCAP accreditation by the NCPG for its responsible gaming practices and efforts, becoming the first and only fantasy sports operator to earn the certification."
PrizePicks announced in May it had also become the official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner of the Houston Astros. Just like California, Texas has not legalized sports betting.
PrizePicks also reached agreements with the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants and signed a three-year extension with the Atlanta Braves in April.
