New York’s eight online sports betting operators felt the sting of no NFL and two other pro leagues being on hiatus during the week ending Feb. 15.

Key Takeaways

  • New York online operators end an eight-week run of $500-million handles.

  • Sportsbooks won back 8.7% of wagers during the slow week.

  • FanDuel was the only operator to produce a double-digit hold.

The New York State Gaming Commission reported that the week after Super Bowl LX generated $459.4 million in wagers, a 17.6% dip from the previous week. It’s the first sub-$500 million handle since the Dec. 14 period, ending an eight-week run.

With the NBA holding its All-Star Weekend and the NHL on break for the Olympics, bettors weren’t left with many options. Still, the latest handle was nearly 6% higher than the same week in 2025, when they didn’t have the Olympics to bet on.

New York sports betting operators won back $39.8 million in gross revenue during the week ending Feb. 15, down from $46.2 million from the previous week, nearly all of which came from Super Bowl profits.

The revenue haul was just the third below $40 million in the last eight weeks, but profits rose 20% year-over-year. The 8.7% hold was up slightly from the 8.1% win rate produced during Super Bowl week.

FanDuel stands alone

FanDuel continued to generate the biggest weekly handle in New York, collecting $159.3 million. However, it was the lowest handle FanDuel’s seen since late August 2025.

DraftKings wasn’t far behind with just under $154 million in weekly wagers, also its lowest amount since before the NFL season began last year.

FanDuel’s 10.3% win rate was the state’s only double-digit hold and produced $16.4 million in gross revenue, still its worst weekly output since late January. DraftKings failed to reach double digits with an 8.5% hold to win $13.1 million for the week.

Lack of big profits

Fanatics won back just 5.4% of a $51.7-million handle. It was the third time in four weeks that Fanatics generated over $50 million in wagers and less than $3 million in profit.

A week after finishing over $1.4 million in the red, BetMGM produced $3 million behind a 7.4% hold on a $40.3-million handle. Caesars won back 8% on $30.1 million in wagers, a $6.5-million decrease from the previous week.

BetRivers produced $1 million in profits from an $11.3-million handle, while theScore Bet generated its first handle below $10 million since late December and had a 7.7% hold. Bally Bet also won back 7.7% on a handle that was down $1 million from Super Bowl week.
