The only thing that made absolutely no sense about the SF/GB game was that the public money was all over Green Bay 66%/34% even though it was the biggest physical mismatch of the four playoff games(Seattle being the 2nd). Vegas made a ton off of some really uninformed people. That's what they get for basing their plays off of ESPN highlights and talk shows.

Keep in mind those numbers are based off of ticket counts. Not monetary amounts. Public was definitely on Pack though.

Yes, the information was from before the game started. Most of my wagers are required to be placed prior to kickoff. Now, whether it was ticket counts or actual monetary amounts could provide a little more clarity, as the next poster indicated. After re-reading my earlier post, though, I could have gone without the "attack" on those who played GB. It was intended to expose the casual bettor who falls blindly into feel-good stories, I didn't realize it might offend a sharp player in here. I actually thought most of us on Covers would have a good laugh over it. But, more so, I was expressing my shock as to the % of money played toward the one team that was facing the biggest talent mismatch of the playoffs to date and also expressing my guess as to what they saw that tugged on their emotions enough to make them believers. Just as I like Seattle today for similar reasons, whether they win or lay an egg, the wager discrepancy isn't that warped in any direction.
