If he doesn't get rocked by Nelson then yes.

Everything points towards Nelson, but he is also taking a step down (guy coming off a loss).
I think there is a solid chance Stipe is able to ride out a decision using his wrestling and control.

I thought Volkman would be able to grind out the decision. Oh well...
Did okay for the night. |

Sandro is an awesome fighter, but I think he's getting up their in age. He hasn't looked too impressive of late. Straus has the skillset to beat Sandro.
Straus +135

I pick Palhares but I wouldn't of thought it would be at these odds.
I believe what he means by one trick pony is that everyone knows that Palhares has to get the fight to the mat to win. He's an amazing grappler, but his game plan is easy to figure out, but hard to stop so far. |

Palhares pounded the crap outta Dan Miller, he only survived because it's impossible to finish that dude. Belcher's been TKO'd twice and Palhares has big power. Currently +2100 on 5dimes..
I like the value in the bet, if Palhares decides to pounded on Belcher, but Palhares will likely go for the sub, if he doesn't get it, he's might get stopped himself, but your bet is solid if Palhares takes a safe, ground and pound approach. |

Palhares is a beast, but I think Belcher is a better grappler than he's given credit for.
On the feet, Belcher is better and the longer / taller fighter. I see Palhares trying desperately to get it to the ground and Belcher trying desperately to keep it on the feet.
I don't think Belcher will kick much, as it opens up the takedown for Palhares. I see Belcher moving and avoiding some tough spots and scrambles and pulling out a judges decision.
Belcher +240

I only see Askren winning by decision and in a 5 round fight I'm on Lima. |

Wizards and Celtics Under 192. Wizards played yesterday and are going on the road to Boston who is finally home after a long road trip. I think Boston slowly grinds down the game and slows it down.

Long shot parlay, but it's not as bad you may think. Okami -450 I think this is a good matchup for Okami. Large grappler against larger grappler. Bader +170 When the fight was first announced I thought Jackson would wreck Bader, but now I feel as if Bader is in a good spot to grind out the win. Jackson looks slow and sluggish and if he's hurt, his excellent takedown defense could be impacted. Bader might lean and grind on Jackson to get the decision. Hunt +230 Kongo has been caught with big shots from Mir and Barry. I think Hunt moves better on his feet and has a better chin that Barry. Also, Hunt looked much improved against Rothwell, as far as defesive grappling. Kongo might not be able to take a bomb from Hunt. Henderson +105 I actually like Edgar here, who I think will have to much boxing and movement for Henderson, but I am taking Henderson here for the sake of this parlay, because I see this as a 5 round fight. I am taking Edgar in a single bet. Akiyama +230 Not sure how the weight cut as impacted Akiyama, but he has slugged it out against some heavy hitters at 185, while Shields also at times struggles to make 170. I think Akiyama has an advantage on the feet and could drop Shields early and pick up a 10-8 round. Shields may have a hard time getting Akiyama to the mat. $20 Pays $1,500

Ellenberger is going to beat Sanchez via decision. Sanchez is very durable and out of Penn hasn't been stopped. In a 3 round fight I see Ellenberger having enough juice to take a decision with Diego having his moments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Herman is going to beat Struve. While, I like Struve, this will be Herman's 2nd fight in the UFC and he should be much more comfortable. I think Herman stops struve with strikes. Only way I see Struve winning is on the ground by catching a submission of his back. Herman is the pick here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Markes is the pick here. People have not seen him enough, but Markes is a solid prospect out of the same BJJ camp as Aldo. I think Markes has more ways to win, strikes or a submission. I like Markes here. |
