Media talks about how the electorate is wanting a change, no more career politicians. That is somewhat true... but does not tell the whole story.
The opposition for the GOP will certainly be Hillary. She is a hot mess of corruption and every GOP voter knows it. Problem is that the media protects her, as they did BO 4 years ago. What happened 4 years ago?
Obama had countless scandals that were being suppressed... and he needed to be exposed. Mitt Romney was leading polls and looked to be heading towards victory but he really messed up in the final weeks leading up to the election.
Mitt allowed his political instincts to take over and chose to NOT call out Obama regarding the Benghazi debacle, and he had blood on his hands and we knew it. Problem was, the low information voter did not know it, because the media was still telling those low information voters it was a nasty result of a slandering video.
Mitt really f'd up, and it lost him the general election. He wanted to not get in the mud and tell people the truth - he let his stupid instincts get the better of him. He thought he did not need to do that, and it would not look presidential to do so. Huge miscalculation.
GOP voters want to be sure we choose a fighter this time. Trump is definitely a fighter.
