I've asked this before.
Where in the Constitution does it say that felons cannot own guns, minors, and the mentally ill? Openly carrying guns in schools, malls, etc.?
Therefore, you are saying that any restriction on owning/carrying weapons is unconstitutional aren't you.

Even in the United States, there is a trend toward increasing gun control which may continue in the future. For examples, 1934 national firearm act, 1968 gun control act and 1994 violent crime act.
Actions speak louder than words. According to NY Times, share of American households with guns has declined from 50% in 1970s to 35% today.

The Gun Control Act of 1968, a US Federal statute, prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms....not the Constitution .
..and I will not talk to you again about this ..until I consult an attorney. ...

So your saying restrictions are ok if they are legislative acts?

Not a bad piece but numbers 5 and 8 are contradictory, which is my entire point whenever people use the 2nd Amendment as the basis for arguing against any restriction.

This point and Randi's are really right on. Its sad really. If people want to debate whether certain gun restrictions are reasonable or not, I'm all for it. Let's use stats and analysis to determine if such restrictions work. I honestly can understand why people might be opposed to some of the gun laws of last in D.C. and Chicago.
But when people start saying that the 2nd A prevents such restrictions, they miss the reality that the 2nd A really doesn't allow for ANY restrictions and that includes felons, minors, mentally ill, and guns openly in schools.

I feel safer in a NYC dark alley than you with an unregistered gun, actually.
Maybe one of those pencil dicked yuppies will keep you out of jail.
But to quote Bill Murray, then again, maybe one of them won't.
