This thread is for DL36
and Canos and myself, the only true non-partisan independents on this forum. If
you are interested in non-partisan debates that are hard hitting on both sides
of the political spectrum than you are welcome to join in on the conversation. If
you can not see good or fault in both sides than please seek your political
discussions elsewhere.
So DL36 and Canos. With
the election growing closer I have noticed a very disturbing trend. There
appears to be more and more partisan themed threads recently that serve no
purpose what so ever other than to childishly bash the other side and grasp for
straws to assign blame. Unfortunately this is a very unproductive practice and
needs to stop.
As a non-partisan
independent I do not intend to take sides here but some careful research of
threads posted in the political forum indicates that all of these worrisome
partisan threads come from individuals that support the republicans. And
in all cases they are not productive or framed in an intellectual manner.
So my question for you
guys is this: Can this be fixed? Can you train some people to think outside the
box? Or is this like trying to change a leopard’s spots? As the non-partisan
independent representatives on this forum is it our responsibility to educate
those that refuse to think outside the box? These are all questions that I
think about daily and remain perplexed to find any answers. Any input or
suggestions from you two is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance – The Mattbrot
