The Blue Jackets giving the game away ruined a stellar night. However they were the right side at such a highly inflated price. That's the problem with betting on bad teams. They seem to find away to lose. No regrets.

I watched the Rangers clock the Capitals at MSG last night. Igor is back on his game. He was marvelous in goal. I'm a little worried that the Rangers are peaking too soon. They remind me of the Devils & Bruins of last season. They played great in the 1st half of the year than slipped a little in the 2nd half. Hockey is all about peaking at the right time. Last year it was the Panthers and Golden-Knights. I have a futures ticket on this years Panther's team, and I'm glad I bet them to win it all. They seem to be a team built for play-off hockey. Great defense in the center zone and usually don't allow to many uncontested goals in. I like their chances to win it all this year.

Anyhow, hopefully we can build on tonight's momentum and put together a few winning nights. I'll be back later.

 Thx Red. That was a nice little comeback by the Yotes. Good point about the rangers. As a Bruins fan, you can win every game in the regular season but if you don’t win in the playoffs….. what’s the point. It’s all about playing great hockey at the right time.

Rangers + 130  & Under 6.5 ==== The game moved to 6.5 after Quick was announced as the starting goalie for NY. However I can't justify the move as Quick has been very sharp so far this year.

Caps + 135 ==== Both of these teams are bad, so at plus odds I'll take at shot with the lesser of 2 evils.

Blues + 145 == Blues are improving so I'll take my chances against a spotty Av's team

Black-Hawks + 1.5 + 130 ML ==== Again just betting the number

Coyotes - 125  ==== I've upgraded their rating, so I think this number might be too short.

Kraken - 125  ==== Once again I believe this number is a little too short.

I'm trying something different and wagering on all games that are off according to my numbers. Even slightly, because I think even a small edge should show value in the long run. However if tailing I would recommend playing a half Unit on each pick, because it is usually unwise to let out too much money in a single day unless you are playing with a large bankroll. I can afford to play each game for a full unit.

The isles are bad??  Islanders have been winning or getting a point missing their top 3 defenseman. Sure they got lit up by Pittsburgh but they're 8-2-2 in the month of December. Not vs bad teams either.  Beat the canes, oilers, kings , Panthers , leafs in the month. Down top 3 starting defenseman. 9th best power play , 3rd in shorties but terrible on the kill. I actually don't like their matchup tonight especially with cizikis out the top forechecker but bad team is a bit rough. Same with Caps for the laundry list of stars they have out to be sitting in #2 WC spot not too bad. By chance are you a rangers fan?

I worked for the Rangers for 3 years, so YES I root for the Rangers to win. As long as I'm not betting against them. As for the Isles, I've watched them play this year & their defense is not on par with last year's squad IMO. Thanks for visiting my thread.

 Yes they're defense is in tough shape loosing top 3. . Funny I'm named after Bryan Trottier lol my mother was going to name me Brian my dad freaked out and forced my name to be spelled the same as Trottier. He said it would jinx them . I was born 1982. It's funny cause my mother worked at East Northport post office at at the time Mike Bossy live that way and my mother became friendly with his wife Lucie. My father was NYPD at the time he had season tickets split with his partner from 78 till 85 I believe. Even crazier part when I got older in mid 2000's my roommate and I got a job for advertising company for used cars which was owned by Bob nystrom lol crazy. Im obviously too young I started early 90's saw 93 season then went through misery. I watch every game with my old man. All he wants is to see them win with me before he moves on....we got close 19-20, 20-21.

Another funny sidenote . All my mother's brothers are die hard rangers fans. When they won in 1994 after the parade they allowed fans to go take pics with the cup my uncle picked it up while his brother took the pic. It was in the daily news he got in trouble lol

Interesting. My family has been involved with the Ranger organization since the  1950's. I worked for them for the 3 years before I enlisted in the military. It was a lot of fun. Most of the players are good guys. The game has changed drastically since I was a teenager.

 Yes MSG gets a bad rep but they really have a nice setup. I go for Knicks games. I know they're talking about either doing a restoration job on the Garden or actually building a new arena still on top of LIRR . As union electrician I did a bunch of work on the penn station rehabilitation job. The garden is due for a build up let's just see what Dolan wants to do. The city extended operating permit for another decade.

On more important note thank you for your service! My family is in the USMC except my father he was in the Navy on the USS America CVA-66. He wanted to join the Marine corps but was 17 in 1965. My grandmother would only sign him up for the Navy or AF. He was pissed but I guess she saw the writing on the wall with that campaign. Ok I'll stop writing you a novel lol.
