Good Luck So 24-10 Bears? Isn't that the way the NFL works? Thanks for the excellent thread!
Every year there are surprises, teams become great out of no where, good teams decline, so much parity year to year in the nfl. But in the year 2020 with Covid19 preventing proper practice and eliminating the pre-season, who the fuck knows what we are gonna get in week 1, or any week after that really.

Allow me to review Bears GM Ryan Pace's brilliance:
Let go Kwiatkoski because he didn't have an extra 2 mill per year. Kwiatkoski and Roquan Smith never saw the field at the same time in 2019. Roquan leads the nfl in tackles at 70. Kwiatkoski's pff rating is 81.2, 4th best in the nfl.
Instead of retaining Kwiatkowski, Pace choose to keep Danny Trevathon. A guy who dislocated his elbow towards the end of 2019. His pff rating this year is 44.6, just imagine Kwiatkoski and Smith in the middle of the Bears 3-4 defense.
Pace signed Barkevious Mingo and Robert Quinn to fill voids by Kwiatkoski and Leonard Floyd. Floyd has 7 sacks, 15 qb hits and 34 tackles for the Rams. Quinn has 1 sack, 3 qb hits and 13 tackles. He's only getting paid 70 million for 5 years, 30 mill guaranteed. Amazing really for a guy who can't play all 3 downs.
Mingo splits time with Quinn, he has 24 tackles and 1.5 sack, 4 qb hits. But getting paid only 1.2 million.
2nd year Nickel Cornerback Buster Skrine is awful. PFF rating of 55.6, and teams often scheme their best WR into the slot to go against this guy. He tends to slip a lot on the field.
We will save discussion on the Bears deadly TE combo of Graham and Kmet for another day. When the Bears could of simply signed FA Eric Ebron for 1/10 of the money instead.
