So i looked at week1 for the past 3 seasons in the NFL and teams that are favored by 6 or more points are 16-1.
Last season is where the 1 loss came from.
11-12: 6-1
10-11: 2-0
9-10: 8-0
For the first NFL week there are currently 6 teams that are 6 point or more favorites, most likely this will end up being 7 teams by Sunday ( I can see the Pats line moving up to 6).
So i am going to include them. If you run a ML parlay with these 7 teams ur getting 4-1 (if you made the bet right now, will be slightly less when/if the pats line moves up).
I am wondering what teams do you think have a chance of losing week 1 which would ruin this parlay if played.
Chicago
Philadelphia
New Orleans
New England
Houston
Detroit
Baltimore
Thoughts? Stupid idea to ML parlay all these favorite? NFL too unpredictable? Please share.

yes i was thinking about that. I know their defense is very good. However, i
am not convinced about their offense yet and i expect greenbays defense to be
better this year. However, i have nothing to back up that statement and that is
why i plan on taking some time to look into what was done in the off season.
I
feel that the pickup of benson will be a huge help to greenbays already powerful
offense as they now a competent running back which will force defenses to
respect green bays running game.
I also feel that there is no way alex smith can repeat his performance of last season. I think he over achieved and that there is no way he can play up to that level again. Again tho, this is an assumption i am making.
I need to go take a look of what SF did with their offense during the offseason as i do not really keep up with them. Thanks for your input. Really wish others would drop a comment.

well the reason i started this thread was to get input on the lines and the opponents these teams are facing. I just dont like to make ML parlays just bc its a big spread. Good luck are your parlay. I hoped you didnt just pick college teams favored by 14 or more bc they were favored by 14 or more. You need to do research and figure out what teams actually have a decent shot of making an upset. A good lesson would be houston being upset by texas st last week being like 30 point dogs.

I'm inclined to believe that New Orleans might be the best bet of the weekend. Too much focus on the interim coaching staff and not enough on the fact that this team can just kill it on offense like no other team in the league.
The one big favorite that would worry me the most is Detroit. They're a lot of fluff and not much substance.

Don't put too much into trends. If I remember right Pats are like 11-1 SU the past 12 years as well (or was it 10-2?).
But onto the topic, I think Baltimore is the most likely to lose. Anytime you play a divisional opponent you can expect a tough, tight game. Don't forget the Bengals was a playoff team last year. The other games listed dont involve two playoff teams. Also I think missing Suggs will be huge if Baltimore cant pressure Dalton. Suggs was a beast on that defense and its gonna be hard to replace him.

The curse/trend numbers from the previous years SB Teams are pure bullshit. The Giants proved that last night. Does anyone really think Belichick worries about such nonsense? This game may get ugly real fast for Tenn.

let me add 2012-2013. Patriots destroy tennessee. How can people back jake locker? New Enlgand has the best or one of the best offenses in football and Chris Johnson will not rush for 200 yds as he is the key focus for the pats D this week. New England wins by DD and if Tenessee gets down early if will be a total blowout.
