Home dogs (went 1-3 last week Jets, Atlanta, KC, Dallas)
Buffalo +3
Houston +1.5 (opening line...VY questionable)
Miami +17
Denver +3.5
Jax +3
In order of preference, it's Buffalo, Jax, Miami, Houston, Denver.
Buffalo 3-0 ATS at home; still waiting to hear if its Edwards or Losman. Either way, this Baltimore team is bad. Dont be fooled by the whitewash of the Rams...my high school team could hang with them.
Jax always plays Indy tough...no need to go into that game. 3 is a short line...i would have loved to have gotten 4, but i'll take 3 and the ML. I'm hoping Jacksonville wears all black on MNF.
Miami always plays NE tough at home...doesnt matter how good or bad the Fish are, they always give NE a game down there.
Houston gets Andre Johnson back this week (i think) while Vince is questionable with a quad injury. Kerry Collins isnt winning on the road with no Brandon Jones (knee scope). Houston's defense is actually pretty good.
Who will be better off a bye, Denver or Pittsburgh? I'm thinking Pittsburgh, even in Denver, even in the thin air. That Denver d line is a mess and if there's one thing Pitt is always good at...it's out muscling their opposition. They will be able to do it here IMO.
Public dogs: (went 0-2-1 last week Washington, Tenn, Houston)
KC +3
Tough to lay points with the Raiders but if there's a team you can do it against it's KC this year, especially off a win and at home.
Chalk: (went 2-0 last week...Balt, SD)
Giants -10
Saints -9
Wash -7.5
Seattle -9
Dallas -9.5
Cincy -6
Eagles -4.5
Which one of these teams deserves to lay this kind of chalk in their "spot"? Just one...and it's Washington although Gibbs play calling leaves a lot to be desired...they have a very bad taste in their mouth after losing in GB. The Cards are down to their 3rd string QB...with shut down corners like the Skins have, they can load the box against Edge and blitz Rattay from all angles every play.
Giants -10 v SF - no thanks...a big show on national tv and a great performance...here comes a 16-10 let down at home against an ugly team in SF. Ive seen it many times from them especially since they go to London in Week 8 for the Fish.
Saints -9 - one good game and now they lay 9? Lump the Saints in the with the Giants as overvalued this week.
Seattle -9.5 - the most hearltess, gutless team in the league is laying these big points. They are all pussies...sorry to be blunt but ive felt this way for a while about the Seahwaks. DJ Hackett is back this week and it's evident that Shaun Alexander is a big fraud. Loses Hutchinson and he stinks, loses Mack Strong and he's even worse. He's complaining about his wrist again. Bulger will be back this week for the Rams.
Dallas -9.5 - I think even Tavaris Jackson can throw against the Cowboys. Please Brad Childress use the play action this week...you can win the game if you use it effectively.
Cincy -6 - you know the ironic thought about my stupid Jets is that they can win this game and this is a game they historically win while they will always find ways to lose winnable games. Thomas Jones can run for 150 against Cincy. The Jets will ugly this game up real good given that's their best shot to win in Cincy.
Eagles -4.5; might be the best play of the week. Sunday at 4:15 on Chicago sports radio, I imagine there will be calls for Lovie to get fired if there aren't yet.
Westbrook = W for the Eagles and McNabb (even the current crippled McNabb) will rip up that secondary at home.
toss up:
TB/Det - How many yards will Jeff Garcia throw for this week? 325? 350? Neither team runs or can run the ball and it's not like the Lions play any defense either especially in the secondary.
My favorite plays right now (in no order):
Buffalo
Philly
thats it...ugly week...i'll probably find more later in the week
