So far I am on Baltimore -3 with both feet...in short because the Chargers are a huge public favorite and also because the Ravens will run on that LAC D and keep them on the field all game long. The tall Chargers' QB is a big target and the Ravens' blitz will get there IMO.

The Pats' D is ranked 5th overall in yardage allowed and 5th in points allowed (18 per game) and they are the same team that held Brady and the Bucs to only 19 points. I stand by my statement.
The Pats didn't play their best game but the D only gave up 22 points in that one. Of course their problems are with the offense.
Dallas has beaten some good clubs...Carolina and LAC...but I still respect Belichick's game planning ability and regard him as one of the greatest defensive minds in the history of the NFL. BOL

pats defense stopped Bucs because of the rain, or else Bucs would have scored 40+ in that game I think

I wonder if they're still giving bellicheat playbooks ,Pracrice tape , and player ped free rolls
NFL could be throwing him olive branches to keep games competitive
Weird feeling the Cheatriots magically make the playoffs in the 7 spot ( get crushed in WILD CARD GAME as the VILLAIN) ..Could see it coming down to a battle between your STEEELERS,PATRIOTS ,COLTS,BENGALS, BRONCOS for #7 AFC wc

Chargers' D is giving up a lot of yardage on the ground (157 yards per game and ranked dead last) and while Baltimore is hampered by injuries to their run game, they still might have enough to make it work. I am looking for some ref help on crucial downs...acts of God and so forth. I do agree that the Ravens are not as strong in some areas as in past years for sure.
There is no doubt that Belichick is ruthless and has knowingly flaunted the rules in the past (spygate)...in his Cleveland Browns' days I was impressed how he coached up their D and made them into a scruffy unit. He was crucified by the Browns' fans for benching Kosar but it was the right thing to do. Then he was fired which might have embittered him a bit. I know what you are saying though...but I still feel he coaches up and prepares his defenses better than any other modern day head coach. BOL this week...

Baltimore -3 New England Pats +3 1/2 Adding Cleveland -3 ...I see Chubb and Hunt and the Cleveland Oline having a field day against this Arizona front 7...hope the 20-30 MPH winds are blowing strong off of Lake Erie...

Road dogs getting +3 (1/2) are 9-2 ats and 8-3 SU so far this year based on closing #'s. That trend bodes well for AZ plus Chubb is out. LAC now only getting + 2 1/2 so line has moved off the (3) and against Balt. But road dogs are 30-19 ats overall with short road dogs of +3 or less @11-3 ats which is still strong.
Home dogs getting 3 (1/2) are 5-3 with all of the 5 wins being straight up. That trend bodes well for NE and DET this week.
Just food for thought. NE fits these trends but Balt & Clev may be "fading the public" picks, but going against the dog trends.
