I took Bengals -2.5 when it opened on Sun night, and I'm taking Bengals -4 again tonight.
The Dolphins just had two of the most improbable wins possible against two of the best teams in the AFC. 28-3 fourth quarter vs Ravens, then that box score that everyone is talking about vs the most hyped team in the league, who also happens to be a division rival. Bills ran 90 plays to Dolphins 39? Bills outgained them by 250+ yards or something? Bills time of possession 40 mins to Dolphins 20? That's wacky stuff.
Now it's a short week on the road. There is just no way Miami will be able to stay up for this entire game. And the likelihood of some miracle finish AGAIN seems very very low. Like-4-points-feels-very-safe-low.

Miami's Offense only played 39 plays on Sunday...And it was not because of Buffalo's D....Buffalo had several crazy 18-20 play drives that took over 8 minutes a drive...
Love the over 47...shootout.. However Tua might be iffy..

I mean, 39 sounds low, but 90 sounds really frickin high too!! There are just endless improbable things these last two games.. Obviously, the magic COULD continue, but it seems highly unlikely.

Dolphins moved the ball and scored efficiently..they just did not have enough possessions, which is why they only scored 21 points and 39 plays.....It was weird game..Buffalo only average 5 yards per play...Allen threw it 63 times for 6.3 yard per attempt...It was a Dink and dunk game from buffalo..no big explosive plays.. Its not like Allen was shredding the D....

Miami had a high scoring game vs. Balt 2 weeks ago, and are now coming off a game in 90 degree weather where their defense spent a lot of time on the field. Now a quick turnaround on the road vs. a team trying to get back to .500 and keep up with Baltimore. Bengals had their "get right" game vs. NYJ.
Kind of think it stays under too, Cincy defense has played well.

If anything about your capping says the Bengals have the potential to blow out Miami, then you're off the mark somewhere. This might be a bad spot for Miami... but there is no bad spot that's bad enough for this Bengals team to blow out this Dolphins team. I said before the 1st game... the Bengals are NOT a playoff team this year, and I assure you, they will NOT be in the playoffs.
This is the easiest game of Miami's difficult 4-game stretch. They can be flat and still beat this very mediocre football team!

It’s good to be lucky and lucky to be good either way very disheartening for the Bills when you look at the statistics of the game that was one weird game to watch
What do you call an Eternal Optimist? An accordion with a beeper!

You are way too high on the Dolphins....they were lucky to win last week and the week before. The OP is only stating that this is a bad scheduling spot for them and there is a possibility that they are without Tua and Waddle on a short week with a pending storm affecting their preparation for the week. You are disrespecting the defending AFC champs too. I have layed the 4 pts with Cincy and I am not expecting a blowout.

The Bengals may win here but in a squeaker. That o line for the Bengals is a huge problem and the reason they are 1-2. I’m on Miami +3.5 as I think Miami will win here but if they lose it’s likely to be by 3 or less.

You aren't handicapping this game... I am! The fact that they are the defending champs means nothing. The storm definitely means nothing. Waddle will definitely be playing, but the possibility of Tua not playing is a risk. But I think it's a risk worth taking, because the gap between these two teams is way bigger than the spread would suggest. Miami should be favored by at least a FG, and probably more.
Miami has played the most difficult schedule in the NFL, and they have a 3-0 record to show for it. The Bengals have played a bottom 5 schedule, and have emerged with a 1-2 record. They can't protect their QB, and he isn't a threat to make big plays. Miami plays a gambling style of defense, and that means guys like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen will sometimes hit you with big plays. But they FEAST on inexperienced QBs who can't read complex defensive schemes and don't pose a deep threat. They will get pressure on him with their blitz packages and force him into mistakes. Don't expect Miami to drop 5 or 6 interception opportunities for a 2nd week in a row.
Miami isn't winning with luck, and the people operating on that premise are going to burn some tickets over the next couple of months.

Now that is alot better....before it just looked like you were being a homer. I definitely see your point but I still have questions about Miami's defense and this spot in the schedule. But your analysis was good and very well thought out. Good luck this week!!
