Purdy is benched, in my opinion. Doctors cleared his toe to play, but he was playing terribly against the Jax. Now the toe is a problem again? Not so fast. Mac is preferred by the coach, Shanahan, over Purdy. Coach Shanahan wanted to draft Mac, not Purdy, as their quarterback. Now Mac is showing confidence in the coach that he can lead the team with no problem.

He has only played two games for the 49ers, with different teams, different players, and different results. I don’t recall the 49ers played Baltimore when Mac was the QB.
