Geez you gotta love the NFL and how they’re always 10 years behind schedule on the rules. So if you’re watching the KC game…

The rules analyst just made a comment that the facemask penalty is now reviewable. Great. I love that. But here’s an idea NFL- if the penalty is reviewable, WHY NOT JUST AUTOMATICALLY REVIEW IT? Why does the coach have to challenge a bad penalty call?? Why can’t the officials just take accountability for it and review it on their own? Jesus Christ NFL, when will you finally figure out how to properly use the idea of video replay?!?!?
