If the pass is incomplete, RAMS will have an extra timeout and could score a TD to win the game. Moreover, a pass has more chance for turn-over and sack for safety.

 The timeout virtually means nothing. If you complete the pass, the game is over. Not to mention on the drive before that, he should have been running to burn clock and instead was throwing the ball on almost every play. He’s an idiot.

Personally, I’d roll the dice on the chance of ending the game vs giving them the ball back. I just felt the playcalling was way too conservative. More creative runs could have been better than just trying to jam it up the gut.
