Game 1 featured the Ravens against the Colts. We learned a lot from the Colts, since both featured QBs that played are also the prospective starters for Week 1 when it really matters. Both looked subpar, continuing their concerning ways from last season.
Anthony Richardson just doesn't seem to have any situational awareness about him. You just can't stare down the left side of the field and get 'smoked from the right that knocks you out of the game. He still looks very ' green' to me , and this guy is supposed to be competing for the starter position ?
I expected Daniel Jones to assert himself given this unexpected opportunity... but he equally looked unimpressive.
** the main takeaway from Thursday's action is that IND looks to have problems at the QB position, already I have never bet on AR or Daniel Jones in the past, and their performance today doesn't change that mindset one bit.
The thing you have to keep in mind w starter QBs in week 1 of NFLX is that they are most likely going up against the second team on defense. So, they had better excel. And if they are going up against the 1st team on defense ? You better compete and not look outclassed. Again, both QBs looked unimpressive to me.....
the other 3 teams that played today didn't feature their starting QBs, so no conclusions can be made on 1st team offense for them.

Had the same thoughts. It's a bit concerning when first team offense having trouble against 2nd team defense. I am not surprised however, Ravens got some defensive depth. I expected Daniel Jones to eventually be the starter. Looks like it has been handed to him by default now.
Richardson has the athleticism but not the brain. Colts whiffed on this pick big time
Sip on that plus money honey!
