How do you cancel out of a worse line and buy into a better line? Like returning with a receipt at Costco?

Dude I simply canceled out of my 3 1/2 bet and then placed a bet at 4 1/2. How hard is that to figure out? 

You eat juice when you cancel out of a wager and I’m sure you don’t add that to your #’s

I have no idea where you play, but I would never play at a book that doesn’t let you get out of a play at least a half hour before game time and get all your money back WITH NO JUICE AND NO PENALTY.
