Dan Campbell

Starting to look like a fraud and perhaps the mastermind was actually Ben Johnson. Not a coincidence after leaving the Lions for the Bears , the success switches drastically  

The Lions defense has been the major problem mainly because of injuries. They have been missing their top 3 back end defenders the last few weeks. No team can survive that against good competition. 

You may be on to something here…. When you get past the bravado… you have to be a great teacher … your team has to believe that the other coach cannot out strategize your guy…. If they play poorly today… in a must…must win situation.    If you are in this spot… you already failed the must win situation…. See K C Chiefs for that one….  Tampa… Detroit .. and Indy  have to be pondering their futures… chiefs get a pass as 3 superbowls is a huge toll…  hard to judge motivation these days too… is it to win today… or play another 3 years.    Your effort will be different.    Interesting game for sure.   I played Detroit-7.5.  And I am on a horrible run.

I don't think he's a fraud but injuries, losing Ben Johnson and his penchant for 'always' going for it has cost them this season.

 I’m totally agree with your point but when your team has so many defenders problems and you still go for every 4th down instead of taking points , is that good coaching ? Lions went downhill since Dan taking over the play calling , I like Dan as a head coach but when he’s flipping a coin on every 4th down , he should stay as a head coach instead of play calling ~

 I agree about Campbell taking over the calling of plays. They've lost four of the last five to be eliminated. He's incredibly stubborn. At the half, he told the TV interviewer they would "be alright once they broke a few long runs." Well, at one point they had run the ball 33 times for a total of 80 yards yet he kept running.   That is the very definition of insanity. The Vikings offense was, for nearly the entire game, pathetic, yet the Lions kept getting killed in the trenches. The failure to make adjustments against that resulted in the turnovers and the end of their season.
