Like i said before is only bet the under on this game. Geno could turnover the ball a couple of time and maybe pitts d my have made changes during the bye and step up but i also see ben getting sacked 4 times and have 2 picks and one fumble loss. Offensive struggle for both teams imo

TO's are a double edged sword... you're talking about poss. short fields...i.e vs Tenn... plus Steelers return game is much better than last few years and overlooked... pass on this one all around

i dig what you're shoveling

i had a feeling jets would be a short home fave against steelers if they beat the falcons.

i'll be keeping an eye on this game, maybe make a play on it later after a lil' more digging.

i think leveon bell will be a big factor  in this game. jets haven't faced a smash-mouth runner yet. interesting to see how they handle a back who isn't afraid to hit back.

bol this week

Stonecoldninja, jets havnt faced any good runners right? doug martin, cj spiller/jackson, cj2k. Havnt shut them down or anything. I don't think bell is the big factor in this game. Its more if Ben has time to move around in the pocket and pick them apart / if Geno has a lot of TOs.

Great defenses don't give up 64 points in consecutive games.

Usually you are spot on with your analysis but I disagree with you on this one.  One of your worst post I have seen in a while.  I have watched every Jets game this year so far and yes the Jets easily have a top 4 Defense this year.  I am not saying the Jets will cover again this week but to say the Jets don't have a great defense is stupid.

pharo21, you misread my comment. i said jets haven't faced a smash-mouth runner. the backs you named are all i good, i agree. but they are  also all speedy, shifty, avoid hits type of of runners. i think with leveon bell in the mix it'll put a lot of pressure off big ben and gives the steelers an offensive piece they've been missing since season started.

kevmode  thank you .. exactly my point.

Ninja, agreed bell is a different type of back, but Jets have a top3 defensive line, I don't see bell being an issue really. Can he score a goal line td? sure. Just don't think hes a huge factor. BOL to all

Really like the Steelers here as well, giving Mike Tomlin two weeks to prepare against a rookie qb is huge, Pitt needs a win here and I think they come out pretty hot. Mike Adams pulled at LT and no one can possibly pass protect worse then him.
Lets not get crazy about Geno Smith either, he played great but against absolutely zero pass rush, any NFL qb can do that given that much time, he'll be without Holmes again and likely Hill.
As good as Jets defense is upfront, they are weak in the secondary, Cromartie is playing terrible, and the whole team frequently gets beat deep, they were lucky when they played New England that Brady couldn't hit his receivers deep and when he did they dropped it anyway. Big Ben will be looking to stretch the field early with Sanders and Brown. Having Heath Miller back is huge as well, completely different offense with him in it as seen against Minnesota.

pharo21, i guess we can agree to disagree on how much of a factor bell will play this week.

i could be a lil' biased since he's on my fantasy team.

but i've always thought he would fit perfectly with the steelers after they drafted him. now that he's healthy and ready to to go, i think  it'll spark the steelers offense.

Let's get something straight here.  I don't think most people walked away from last night's game thinking the Jets are hot.  If anythhing, the Falcons showed they are a joke starting from their defense, to lack,of a run game, to the coaching staff.

This week the Steelers are in a good spot, coming off a bye week.  But besides being well rested, what other advantage do they have from it?  Better game offensive or defensive game plan?  I don't think so.  The Jet's offense and defense has evolved, if you will, since the beginning of the season.

Pitt's weakness is their offensive line and defensive line (The Giants have the same problem and struggles).  These kinds of things don't get fixed over a bye week and maybe not through the course of an entire season, ask Jay Cutler.

Am I saying the Steelers won't win outright or cover?  Hell no.  It might come down to who shiiits the bed, Big Ben or Geno Smith.  To make any play on this game a max bet is quite silly, is my argument.

Earthwake - I'm straight fade material? I would LOVE for you to post your picks every week. The professional second guesser, who doesn't have the sack to post his picks.

Teams that have lost 5 straight ATS and lost their last game SU hit at an unbelievable 90%+. The Giants fit this system on Thursday.

Far off by a little or a lot doesn't matter; if they don't fit, they don't fit. Bears should win - The question...and the only question is, will they cover?
