I'm liking OKC -1.5, LAC +4. Nothing finalized yet.
I also liked NY however the line was much more appealing last night. I thought I saw it at -2.5, this morning I see -5.
Miami at -10.5 is something I might do. I can't get over laying that many points, even worse on the road. But Miami looks great so far and they're just burying their opponents early. I get the impression that they're out to humilate teams. Seems like they're out to set the tone that this is their year and their league. I really can't see Charlotte's backcourt putting up any resistance and how is their front court going to be defending the basket with Diaw at center? He's only 6'8!

Strangely if the line was -9, I would not play it. With the books making it a double digit line, psychologically imo that's big number that looks too good to pass up if I wanted Charlotte and too big of a number to lay on the road if I wanted Miami. But if the line were 9, in a Miami backers mind all they think is yeah Miami will win by double digits.
I rarely mess with totals. But yes it could be a march to the ft line, or just flat out uncontested layups and dunks.
Me liking Miami is based on the tone I feel they are out to set early this season. If this game was played in Feb, more than likely I wouldn't touch it. I would think exactly like you are, "what do they have to prove". I watched the way they charged at Dallas on Christmas day and I immediately thought what they fuck. Every opportunity Miami had they blizted Dallas' defense and just rammed it down the throat of the defense. It reminded me of the Thing running through walls. Everything was so aggressive, with demoralization and arger.

Regarding NY -5, I started thinking. If Curry sits, is it likely that NYK overlooks GS tonight and start thinking about LAL tomorrow night? How serious will they take GS?

Good point.
Good point.
Good point.
Even tho the Lakers are 1-2, they still have a target on their backs imo. Lakers are the Lakers and everyone still wants a piece of them/kobe.
