I just don't see a game 7. Cavs don't want to risk having a game 7 and they will come out extremely hard at the Wizards tomorrow.
Washington got extremely lucky to cover ML last round and it won't happen again tonight.
Cavs +4 is a pretty high line considering Cavs are the better team. If anything make it Wizards -1 to -2.
Wizards are without Arenas for the rest of the year, so winning the series and moving on to Boston, is pretty much pointless. The public and the NBA all want to see a Boston vs. Cavs match-up. Just 2 days ago, Cavs series line was -2000 and -3000 at other places!! That being said, it won't come down to one game because its just to risky for the Cavs to deal with. They will come out strong and show authority tomorrow against the Wizards. Look for it to be close in the first half and the 2nd half, Cavs will end it. LJ will come to play and dominate.

I completely disagree! The Wizards are a much better team WITHOUT Arenas because Arenas doesn't have a concept of team basketball. He's a "ball hog" and he takes his team out of any offensive rhythm by taking poor shots.
Who is going to score for the Cavs besides Lebron's 25-30 pts. Z might pour in a few but my point is that Cleveland doesn't have any perimeter scoring and Washington has matched up well with Cleveland on the glass. This series is difinitely going back to Cleveland for game 7 as Washington covers the -4 tonight..gl

Yeah, your write up makes me want to take Washington more and more. I love the Cavs but for Christ sake, I cannot bet a consistant number on a team that can hardly shoot over 40% anymore.
The Wizards are much better without Gilbert and if you watched the last game, they found out how to get offensive rebounds over the Cavs.
That category (offensive rebounds) alone will tell you the winner, if not the ATS winner of this game.
With a roucous atmosphere, so much confidence and a stronger defense that eliminates more open options for Lebron, I had have to say this one is heading back to the Q for game 7.

I can't disagree more, first, I feel the Wizards are the better team here and second, you say the public wants to see the Cavs vs Boston....why? the Wiz have taken it too Boston all season and beat them twice I believe

I wouldn't be surprised if the Wiz win this one in 7. No way in hell I bet on this Cavs team. They get a lead, they get cocky and start pumping jump shots. They miss the jump shots. The other team gets back in the game. They just don't know how to win. Maybe that changes tonight, but I sure as hell wouldn't bet on it.

The Wizards have taken it to Boston all season long but not the Cavs in the playoffs. Playoff history between the teams says take the Cavs in this road close out game. History repeats itself Cavs +4.

Notable: Since to the start of the 2006 playoffs, the Cavs
have won five of the seven meetings against the Wizards in
Washington. . . . The Cavs have won three of their past four
road "close-out" games, including each of the past
two meetings at Washington (Game 4 in 2007 and Game 6 in
2006). . .
Notable: The Cavs and Wizards are meeting in the playoffs
for the third straight season and the fifth time in history.
. . .The Cavs lead the all-time playoff series, 13-7, have
won eight of their 10 home games and have won six straight
playoff games against the Wizards. . .
The Cavaliers lost a heart breaker letting that game five slip away and Lebron and the Cavs are going to be fired up to end this series tonight in D.C.
"[Wednesday's loss] obviously hurts, but
it's the playoffs," Ilgauskas said.
"We've been here before. We've got to forget
about it [and the next game's tonight and we have to
concentrate on that]. We know we can do it. It doesn't
mean it's going to be easy. I always like our chances
when we lose a game [like Game 5] we usually come back and
have a good game. I think we're going to respond."

for 3 straight years cleveland been dominating washington, coz of injuries of arenas & butler, but all season long for the wizards been playing without arenas & some of butler and been effective. i think if wizard been successful in the regular season and been able to face cleveland again in the 1st round, i think this is a right time to prove themselves at their home crowd. anyway GL on whatever you pick bro!

Cavs are not the better team IMO. Wiz have had injuries all season with Butler and Arenas and even Jamison not to mention Eton Thomas was out all seaon (rebounder). After the Cavs trade I think they lost value.
The Wiz are better offensively but just need help on boards and defense. I think it goes back to Cleveland and maybe they win. For Wiz to win 3 in a row against a team they traditionally lose to will be tough.

Like Cleveland also, but dont know if thats the homer side of my coming out, would make the bar alot funner having a couple dollars on Cleveland.. lean to the under but may just stay away all together..GL with your Cleveland play though
Bator- see what you were saying, doing pretty good with Nuggets out of the way now, liking anything for tonite so far?

Here's my problem with Cleveland other than the fact that they suck: I'm not a fan of backing teams that blow 5-point leads with 1:30 to go when at HOME. How do you bounce back from something like that?

I like Cleve as well. This series is shaping up exactly like last years Cavs/Nets series where the Cavs blew game 5 at home then trounced the Nets in Jersey in Game 6.

the problem with that comparsion is this cavs team is MUCH worse than last year.

No bets made yet, but leaning towards Atlanta +4.5 1st half, Atlanta +8.5, Washington -2.5, and Utah -7.5. Tomorrow I like the Pistons to cover Game 1 against Orlando.
