No sir I tried but alas I was doomed.

I understand your point and I agree on the foul situation but also what bothers me is when I see Holmgren go to the basket and when they say a Euro Step, with him, that's being generous. He walks more than other big man currently in the NBA and they continue to let it happen.
My opinion was based on the fact that Joker dominates at both ends of the court when it comes to rebounding , in the paint he's unstoppable, FT shooting at 80% and shoots 42% from three.
All I'm saying is that there's no one on the court that has a game as well rounded as he has and he doesn't' many holes in his game

No last time I looked I wasn't recovering from a coma.
I understand and respect your point and I agree that what SGA has been phenomenal especially with a young team. I believe they're both MVP material and without either one, their team is not in the playoffs

All I'm saying is that there's no one on the court that has a game as well rounded as he has and without many holes in his game and he has the champion gene and has proved it. SGA has had back to back great seasons but hasn't won a thing and he does not dominate at both ends of the court. So we can agree to disagree

The Pacers have 50/50 shot at the finals but the Wolves do not because they are not neatly as talented and deep as the best team in the NBA which are the Thunder. The Thunder should win 5 top 6 games, Wolves beat the weak ass Lakers who didn't have a big man and were in trouble against GS until their top player got injured.
Thunder will win it all.

You said dominate on both ends of the court usually that implies defense, but of course no mention of that or lack thereof. It’s rebounding you’re referring to, oh. He plants his big wide body in the paint and he’s hard to move with much of the rebounding coming from him using leverage and tipping the ball around until he secures it not from any athleticism via jumping. MVP = most valuable player key word valuable. A players value is magnified when they finish 18 games ahead of another player vying for the same award and vice versa a player’s value is diminished when he finishes 18 games behind the guy he’s competing for the award against. And let’s not forget Denver only won 2 more games than the 8th seed, they literally were 2 or 3 games away from having to play in the play-in. The same voices clamoring for mvp because of averaging a triple double should be the same arguing that Russ should have 4 mvp awards since he did it 4 times, but we know that’s not the case.

I agree with this take 100% the Russ Westbrook example is spot on. There is however a counter argument that is up for debate.
Without Joker, Dem likely doesn't sniff playoffs, without SGA, Thunder likely do... take that for what it's worth.

I hear you...........not sure I agree that OKC had enough to make up for SGA's points and leadership on the court. Too many players are inconsistent, Williams for one had a 6 pt game and a 10 pt game against Denver. OKC during the playoffs had 4 guys in DD digits. Not sure that gets it done without SGA reg season or the playoffs
Based on our discussion then Donavan Mitchell ( Avg 30 a game ) might have been ahead of everybody? At least ahead the Greek?
Clev was 48-34 a year ago...........this year 64-18 Better by 16 games
OKC was 57-25 a year ago...........this year 68-14 Better by 11 games
Avg Ages
Unfortunately, Mitchell didn't get a sniff so maybe the voters know less than they think they do and have created a popularity contest and not a legitimate MVP ballot .
Just my humble opinion.........................................Have a great evening RossWin97

Maybe my measuring stick for MVP is different from most
When any player is top three in all categories and does it night in night out, I feel he is a leader and is the most valuable to his team and its hard for me to overlook that because I thought that's what the award is all about. This instead of popularity or race as Perkins has had to apologize for being a racist dick head.

good discussion, good peeps. I met a couple guys from cleveland about a month and a half ago and the first thing they started talking about was the Cavs. I asked them whats the difference in the team this year as opposed to last year seems the players are about the same and they immediately brought up the coaching change and different coaching philosophies. as far as his stats interestingly he doesnt have even one stat that's better this year than last year, scoring, assists, and rebounds were down from a year ago as well as FT%. 3 pt shooting was the same at 36.8%.

Got it. They were a total enigma given their top players and they basically shit the bed after a fine season and I think their D let them down and they got caught in Indys runs and couldn't score. Up 17-20 and lose the game is a direct reflection on their D and too many threes left them one and done with no offense help on the glass.
I'm not an Indy fan but it was sad to see. Maybe they need a closer like the Brunson Burner? Again Mitchell score 6 more a game in the playoff's and they were a disappointment and I know injuries played a role as well.

these 2 teams both won on the others home court this year, all the games were closer, Minnesota was down 22 starting the 4th on the road at OKC and came back to win, I think both teams have confidence, and Minnesota did not have Randle for any of those games , he may be the key to this series
