We're about to get a 1/6 and 4/3 matchup not too far off from the 1/6 5/3 matchup we got last year.
Last year these Conf Finals were done in 9 games, a 4-0 sweep and a 4-1 dismantling. The Pacers are the Mavs this year as they've taken out the same seed Mavs did last year. The Wolves has also turned back a 3 seed Lakers and Warriors who although were 8 seed played like a 2 to start.
This feels like a Pacers/Wolves Finals which would be pretty good.

I think ny / denver or indy /denver indy/ ok city will be a track meet The funny scenario would be ny / minny kat/ randle trade
I don't think The League would be too happy if a wounded Nuggets (50-32) team and their #2 MVP vote getter went into OKC (68-14) and took out this season's MVP and #1 team leaving us a 4/6 and 4/3 Conf Finals match-ups. That's a bad look for so many reasons. It would cast doubt on the MVP selection process but just as importantly, it would send a message to all teams that fighting hard all season (like Thunder did) to reach the best record is of no use. Why would teams play hard all year to get top spot when you could coast and just secure top 4 and home court? The League would have a big problem if teams like Denver stumbled into the playoffs going 10-10 last 20 of regular season instead of 18-2 like the Thunder or 17-3 like the Clips.
1 plane will be heading back to Denver and another to Serbia Sunday afternoon.
Also, we are still on an 8-0 under streak with all ABC playoff games, yes every single ABC televised playoff game has gone under is it the way they call tv timeouts to bust momentum? This is an early Noon start on ABC, does the trend continue or?

May leave out the league MVP but it would have the best player in the league. SGA may be MVP but Jokic is still better. And if OKC loses at home they just aren't the better team. Nothing for the league to be unhappy about. How boring would it be if the supposed better team always won anyways. That seems worse. If you are worried about " the message it sends" its been happening in many leagues where the best team record wise doesn't win. Stop looking at what Vegas and what the league "wants" as some sort of fix and watch the games and the series progress.

Last year Wolves had to make a 20pt comeback against the Nuggets in G7 then had 2 days before they laced it up against the Mavs. Now this season they've had 5 days rest in each series thus far and will catch the winner of Den/OKC with that winner only getting 1 day rest, brutal. That gives them a great chance to steal home court right off the bat. Randle is a beast and Edwards is flying thru the air like Jordan and Gobert is rim protecting. These guys seem on a mission. I'm climbing on board choo choo.

For a wounded denver team, they are doing a great job pushing okc to game 7. Maybe they have more depth on their team then people are giving them for. Far as league being upset if number 2 mvp beats number 1 mvp. I dont get that. Denver is a bigger market draw then okc.
If a team knows they are good and want to coast all season until playoffs because they are not afraid of teams like okc putting up great records. If they have that much confidence they can win in the playoffs without needing to be top seeded, thats their choice. NBA will never be able to make players play harder if they dont want to. The fans lose by not getting their monies worth.
After watching okc during the playoffs, they arent as impressive as their record appears. Thats just my opinion. I dont see SAG having the same heart as jokic does. Maybe that will change tonight and SAG will play like a super star. If OKC coach didnt fuck up last game, we wouldnt even be talking about this lollllllllll. Good luck

How does a player in the top three in scoring , rebounds and assists finish second to SGA?
Joker should be winning his third straight MVP..........................there is no comparison . All SGA did was lead in scoring by a basket and hes being revered as the end all be all. At best, he's second maybe third
Not even close...............................in my humble opinion.

JOKER the best player on the planet.

I agree SGA isnt that impressive to me, but as far as joker being the best player on the planet. Nope. If you ever really closely watched him play, the guy has an offensive foul every time he has the ball. He just runs over defenders and never gets called for the foul. Hes like a freight train, no control at all. So its easy to score inside when you are knocking all your defenders down. He should foul out of every game. The best players in the league, tend to not get called for fouls as much as they should. NBA isnt fixing the games for teams to win, they need to sell a product and cant have the best players on the bench the whole game, so i think thats why they let those players play(and i will say it again, that doesnt mean they are rigging game for that team, they just want the entertainment value to be there to sell their product)

Kool aid you contradict yourself. They don’t call fouls to keep best players on floor BUT the League doesn’t manipulate. Can’t have it both ways and that’s always been my take that you vehemently disagree with. At least your starting to be pleasant in your arguments where a discussion instead of an attack.

ABC game unders now on a 8-0 run w Thunder/Nuggs up Sunday at noon. Of note, we have only 1 more ABC games left in Conf Finals, G3 @ Minny on 5/24 then all Finals games are on ABC where we had all 5 games go under in the Finals last year. I'm a contrarian bettor so think at some point this worm has to turn.
Wolves/Lakers total opened at 218, closed at 215.5 game finished 117-95 (212)
Grizz/Thunder total opened at 226.5 closed at 231.5 game finished 80-131 (211)
Magic/Celtics total opened at 207.5 closed at 204.5 game finished at 86-103 (189)
Rockets/Warriors total opened at 203.5 closed at 204.5 game finished 93-104 (197)
Knicks/Pistons total opened at 218.5 closed at 216.5 game finished 94-93 (187)
Wolves/Warriors total opened at 200.5 closed at 201 game finished 102-97 (199)

I dont know what your problem is with me all of a sudden, thought we were always cool. If thats the case then so be it. They think the nba and sports books are rigging games daily which simply isnt true. There are so many legal and illegal books around the world all with different customers and different handles. So which books are games being rigged for? The sports books in vegas run by bean counters now?
My point was i think the NBA tells the refs to be little more easy on foul calls on the star players the just the regular guys who can be replaced by others on the bench., because they want good entertainment for the fans, not to rig the point spread winner. They care about joker being kept in games for the entertainment, not to help denver win the point spread battle. It really is hard to try and make people see this, cause there is too much conspiracy shit on the internet about rigging games. Its come down to now, no matter which team wins, the game was rigged. bettor A loses, game was rigged. Bettor B loses the game was rigged. Its comical now. Instead of just saying the odds makers out capped the bettor, nope its rigged, but yet people keep betting on the stuff.
I cant wait until the bettors start saying thew office is controlling how many points, rebounds and assists players are getting, because they got teams of people in the nba office making prop bets lolllllllll. Thats coming soon
Disclaimer: these are just my opinions of what i see, doesnt mean am right. After over 4 decades of betting, i have seen lots of different types of betting cycles. What do i know, am just another bettor trying to beat the man. I do know thing, the younger generation of bettors are alot less civil with each other. I think the internet has caused that

Aaron Gordon may not play and Westbrook has a bad right hand. If Gordon doesn't play that may put Russell in the starting line-up and he's 9-35 in last 4 games so I don't think he'll rely on scoring and knowing the competitor he is I think he'll try to contribute in other ways.
Westbrook reb/asst over 8.5 -130
my Uncle Foster on the whistle
ABC games on an 8-0 under streak
w/out Gordon in the line-up I think the Nuggs have gone something crazy like 28-3 over this 214 total, but that was reg season games but still an astonishing stat

Whew, that took some digging but here I go...first of all Gordon was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring pull (see def below) now unless the doctor's and media misdiagnosed there is no way he plays. Curry had a milder Grade 1 and you see what that did to him. That would be the ultimate scam if he plays off that diagnosis:
A hamstring strain (pulled hamstring) is when one or more of the hamstring muscles is stretched too far and starts to tear. Healing time for a hamstring strain depends on the severity of the strain. Grade 2 injuries typically take at least four to eight weeks to heal.
Ok so this is based on the regular season which is not the playoffs but here's the stats nonetheless. Out of 30 games this season where Gordon did not play:
average 237ppg
Westbrook 28PRA avg and of those 22 of 30 (73%) went 21+PRA and 19 of 30 (63%) went 25+PRA and 11 of 30 (37%) 30+PRA...he'll have to dog it out as he isn't shooting well but I'm willing to ride his hustle
over 220.5 +159
Westbrook 21+PRA -115
Westbrook 25+PRA +195
Westbrook 30+PRA +500

What would be even more compelling research (although in this case it wouldn't add much to what you already know, and it's too late for this today anyway) would be, rather than just the raw scoring average of 237, would be to include the average margin against the posted total.

I can't fault you for those bets. You were basing the play on no Gordon, but Gordon surprised everybody by playing. Had he not played, Westbrook would have been involved more, the outcome may have been different. Maybe you could have gotten off the bets when it was announced that Gordon was playing I don't know. Were the opposite sides of the 25+ and 30+ bets available options to play?
