wow first post since November 7th, finally have some time to explain my picks.
Hornets -3 (-109) to win 2.5 units
I really like the Hornets here. I think they are the better team and should have won last game against the Thunder. They only lost because they were at the tail end of a road trip and were gassed in the 4th. The Hornets wanna get fans in the seats and will be pumped for revenge tonight. The Thunder are good ball club but are not playing good ball at all. They barely beat the Nets and Twolves and lost badly to the Raptors albeit Durant didn't play in some of those games I don't like their chances here.
5-Point Teaser- Suns -0.5 and Spurs -3 (-110) to win 3.5 units
Love the Suns here but am too much of a wimp to lay 5.5 points. They have lost twice to the Blazers on the road and are a better team than the Blazers (2009 series). The Blazers will be tired and really satisfied with wins over Magic and Suns this week. I can't stand the Suns style of play but they will be ready to go after losing to Memphis. Now for the Spurs, this team is very very good. Can't see them not winning by more than 3 to a scrappy Hawks team. They have too much talent and will wanna rack up some wins at home against inferior teams.
Knicks ML (-140) to win 1.5 units
Gotta ride with the Knicks on this one. They are on fire and will be determined to keep their winning streak alive. I think they really want to show everyone that they are for real and will continue to beat up on these teams. The Wizards are a great home and should play the Knicks really close in this one after being embarassed against the Kings. They will not have enough in the tank though and will be flat in their first game back after a long road trip on the West Coast. The Wiz are also too banged up to win this one.

Way too many points for Heat here. Warriors play the up-and-down style and I think the Heat will buy in and forget about defense tonight. Warriors have been playing good ball hanging around with the Mavs and showing toughness coming back against the Thunder on the road nontheless. They are hungry for a win and will give Miami a run for their money tonight. Curry might be out but teams step up the first game at home after losing their star player. Play the Warriors and fade them big time at Utah if Curry is out both games cause teams tire without their star the second game back and on road as well.
Timberwolves -4 (-109) to win 1 unit
Yikes I am taking both the Wolves and Warriors. After blowing yet another game the Twolves are gonna win this one. Detroit is garbage and only play well against good teams on the road. They will not be up for this one and Wolves have been playing great lately, hanging with the Spurs, Knicks on the road and Thunder at home. They are due and break out for the win here. Also they covered easily against Cleveland at home last week. Don't be surprised if they beat the Bulls tomorrow as well.
Bulls +2 (-109) to win 1.5 units
Tough game and will be great one to watch. The Bulls finally beat the Lakers here and I will gladly take the extra basket for insurance as IMO the only way the Lake Show win here is via buzzer beater. Bulls played the Lakers tough on the road and are starting to hit stride. DRose will dominate Fisher, Noah can hang with Gasol who looked dismal on Wednesday, Booze will shit on Odom, and Deng will play Kobe tough. Also expect Korver to pop a few threes here as the Lakers get another wake up call here. Should be fun.
Last play to cap a large card tonight:
Pacers -3 1st Half (-122) to win 1 unit
Like taking the Pacers at home. Usually they dominate the first half at home and Bobcats play poorly in the first half on the road. Gonna go with this one and check CM Johnson's thread for the main details on this one as I like his reasoning behind this one.
Really liking the dogs ATS for tomorrow's card as well.

I have still been capping NBA just haven't posted because I haven't had time for write-ups and what's the point posting a play when I have few posts compared to well known cappers without a write-up. I have been doing alot better in NBA now that I am mainly focusing on that and NFL instead of making large plays on NHL and College Ball.
Thanks for the support Jarrett75, almost didn't recognize you cause you switched up the avatar. Will definitely get going for tennis in the new year man. Thanks sabia!

It was only a 3-game trip. They played at home last Friday. Some of you guys are making it sound like the Wizards just came back from playing the Chinese national team in Beijing.

Yikes I am taking both the Wolves and Warriors. After blowing yet another game the Twolves are gonna win this one. Detroit is garbage and only play well against good teams on the road.
Really? Their last five road games have all been double-digit losses (in Memphis, Orlando, Miami, Houston, and New Orleans). The Pistons have covered just two spreads on the road this season against winning teams (Atlanta and Dallas).

Why not? This is a winnable game for them, and after dropping 6 of their last 7, they should be hungry to grab a win, any win.

The only way the Knicks are going to prove they are for real is to beat somebody that is any good. And what an opportunity they have to do that after this game when they open up a 3 game home stand against the Nuggets, Celtics, and Heat.
Meanwhile this is a game for the Wiz to once again prove they are competitive at home as so far they are 5-1 ATS as home dogs regardless of how banged up they've been (John Wall has missed 3 of those wins).
I have a feeling the Knickerbockers will be overlooking a Wizards team that they have already beaten by 21 and a team they just saw lose by a boatload to a squad as shitty as Sacramento.

Really? The Wolves lost all three of those games and went just 1-1-1 ATS. You must have a loose defintion of the word "great."
It would be more accurate to say they've been playing great lately in the first halves of games but then following those up with horseshit second halves.

with you on NY-3, I'm actually taking POR+5.5. I like the blazers chances to cover or win this one. They have good perimeter defense, and we all know that the suns live and die by their perimeter offense. POR matches up very well with PHO, so I'll take the points here. gl! =)

Talk about meaningless accomplishments. The Cadavaliers were less than 48 removed from getting disemboweled in front of their fans and millions of TV viewers by LeBron and his Super Friends. After what happened to them last Thursday at the Q, the Cavs could have been beaten by five youngsters from the Boys and Girls Club.

That would be one of thre biggest upsets of the NBA season. How could that not be surprising?

That's pretty much every thought that depeche2 posted earlier in BOUNTYHOUNTER's thread. Except for the "Should be fun" part.

thanks for the support- i appreciate ur 2 cents mr.bator but u don't need to sound so harsh
Sorry, man, I don't mean to sound like a bully, but I know I do sometimes. When it gets within an hour of these games starting I get pretty intense. Remember, we're just debating here and none of us really knows what's going to happen.
