I never recall a lane violation turning into a jump ball.  Smh

Just curious of the rule. Refs can’t just say let’s do a jumpball…just because we want too.

when there's a lane violation on a FT by the offensive (shooting) team, the FT does not count, and the ball goes to the defensive team.  period.

You type his name in google and there is a Reddit thread saying he needs to be removed from the nba lmao. There are a handful of terrible nba refs and he is one of them. But for the most part they are pretty damn good. 

Well said.  Tyler Ford is his name.  He will makeup rules to make sure papa Silver is happy with the entertainment level of his product. I saw it all unfold and I already knew Denver was going to hit a 3 as soon as that cocksucker said it’s a jump ball. Okc could’ve put Chet in though. 

 Denver shit the bed in the fourth had all the momentum and just couldn't make a shot and missed 4 FTs in the last three minutes.

Double lane violation. Always thought it was who ever went first. Tony Brothers was the head ref, keep an eye on him moving forward in the playoffs (even though I know his shenanigans already).

OKC 1H was always the play. Crazy shit happens with OKC in the 2H unless they’re smoking opponents lately imo. 

Watch the Tim donaghy documentary on Netflix. It’s a business model. Refs do this so that THEY personally can advance to the next round.

I don't know the rule but very likely that is the rule.

Its is a timing call. Whoever is first in the lane is who the penalty is on. Because common sense says it is a reaction to the other player going first. Jokic was in the lane first as the shot went up. Everyone else then went in the lane. It’s a violation on whoever went first. 

Maybe I don't know the exact rule. AI said a jump  ball at midcourt but never mentioned who went first.

Also AI said had the shot went in it would have counted.

Lol AI seems to think the non shooting team stepped into the lane first. If that’s the case then yes the FT counts if it goes in. In THIS case, if the FT went in, they should’ve wiped the point off the board since Jokic was in there first. But knowing them who knows. It’s a delayed call to see if the FT goes in. The ref is supposed to extend out his arm…that’s the signal for lane violation.
