Ohhh boy you are a young pup. My first movie ever seeing in the theater I believe was ET. If you don't know what that is google it. Then watch it. Special effects very dated but still a fun story line.

Mine was "The Three Stooges Go To The Moon" in 1962.
It was 50 cents for a matinee & our whole Little League team (12 of us) went after our game got rained out.
Remember it like it was yesterday.

Fun. That was different time. Theatres while nice didn't have to be super fancy. Tickets were affordable to anyone. I still go to a showing every weekend by myself. My fiancé works Saturday mornings. I like this. Drop her off. Hit the gym. Get a massage. The theatre. Pick her up. A time to decompress and enjoy a few hours to myself.

Batman The Movie,had to be late 60's ish.I had a few cousins around the same age (about 8 of us) so it was the 1st time all our parents thought we could handle (AKA Behave Ourselfs) at the show.That was a mistake,and they never let that mistake happen again.

I think it was "Jungle Book" that I went with my 1st grade friend---but the theater was so full had to sit in the aisle, can still remember that Phil Harris song "Bear necessities" to this day

@warrenator
I think that was mine too! Except it was at a drive-in movie theater, and I think it had a double feature with either Snow White or The Fox and the Hound. I was really little...maybe 3 or 4. I feel asleep.

Wow, it's wild to see everyone’s first movie memories! Mine was actually The Lion King when I was a kid, and I remember being completely blown away by those songs and animations.
It’s funny how some of you guys mentioned the drive-ins and old classics makes me feel nostalgic. @warrenator, I can totally relate to the whole sitting-in-the-aisle thing; those were the days when the theaters were packed!
Have any of you revisited your first movie since then? How does it hold up for you? I’d love to hear some opinions do they still hit you in the feels or are they a bit cringy now? ??

I am impressed you guys can even remember - is it that special of an event over there to go to the cinema ? I think Matrix was at least one of first ones I saw - back then I liked it for the effects but was too confusing for me - I have rewatched that later and loved it ! Later I watched Lord of the rings in the cinema - loved it at the time - later I have rewatched that and I really was disappointed - Gladiator I loved both in the cinema - still love it - always loved it - so for me stuff like that can go both ways
