NON-THEMATIC REGULAR CARD
PHILLIES RUN LINE -1 (LINE PENDING) If you prefer to look at recent trends, this would lean to Ted Lilly, who has been much better since mid-May than Cliff Lee. I am going to look instead at the pitcher vs. batter split. Lilly is 0-3 against the Phillies in 4 starts, including 0-2 at Citizens (12.96), which is one of his worst ballparks. Cliff Lee has held the Dodgers to a .106 BAA in limited action.
As / ORIOLES 1st 5 INNINGS UNDER (LINE PENDING) Gio Gonzalez vs. Brian Matusz ----- Matusz is making his second start of the season; last outing (at Seattle) was very good. 1st 5 inning play to avoid the bullpen shenanigans.
NATIONALS / GIANTS 1st 5 INNINGS UNDER (LINE PENDING) John Lannan - don't underestimate him. Tim Lincecum at home. I am also playing this under for the 1st 5 innings only.
JOHN DANKS SPECIAL
I've taken some interest in Danks over the past few weeks (specifically since he was 0-6) because I find anomaly's interesting and the biggest one remaining this year is the previously stout Danks and his winless record. Danks was struck with some bad luck in the first few games, which were taken as tough losses. The reality is that he has just gotten has flat out beat in his last few outings. Well, Ubaldo got his win, but you could sense that it was coming as he showed us some flashes of progress. In the case of Danks, we see no such thing, and he is up against Michael Pineda, who is a threat to shutout the White Sox altogether. Danks goes to 0-10.
MARINERS -105 MARINERS RUN LINE -1.5 +150
BATTLE OF THE CLAYTONS
ROCKIES +100 Clayton Mortensen: I really like this crafty righty although he really has not delivered the goods the way he did in his first few appearances. Rockies are well familiar with Clayton Richard, and the big bats in the Colorado lineup (Tulo, Cargo, Helton) have murdered him.

PHILLIES -180
Pirates
are on the few teams that has yet to yield a win to Roy Halladay. The
Phillies really need a win from Halladay to end their 4-game losing
streak. I've been against the Phillies the last two games, but I don't
see them getting swept in Pittsburgh.
WHITE SOX -145
Chicago
lost on Saturday, but I still think that they will perform well in this
11-game homestand. Despite all of the early season shenanigans, the
White Sox have been playing well since May and this is a great
opportunity for them to close the gap in the AL Central.

I doubt that the Fish repeat the woeful 1-10 performance with RISP and they should have plenty of chances against Narveson.

John Lackey is back from the DL, but I think that his problems reach more than just a bum elbow.

I always enjoy your write-ups and your insights. It's much appreciated, especially for someone like myself who is starting to learn how to cap MLB. GL with your plays, msohn

On Seattle as well,Danks seems to be this years autofade starter, prefer the over on the Rocks/Pads game, also feeling ballsy and taking the Twins again.GL

Don't like this - all in agreement over a few key plays that I love. This usually means quite the opposite just like it did yesterday when I played big on As + tribe and got hosed.
Stupid baseball; unlike NBA one swing can change a whole game and ruin all analysis.
