Washington just came off a huge road win as a 9 point dog at USC and now at home playing a team on a 3 game losing streak and only giving -1? I'm not buying it, ASU to me has the better offense and team. Let down spot for Washington and it's tough for good teams to come back off of huge wins let alone bad teams. I saw that game vs the Ducks and ASU shot themselves in the foot all game long. This is the shadiest line of the week and the game I like the most. Late game on Saturday night just sets up perfectly for all of the chasing going on in these late games.
SouthCarolina playing their biggest games in what seems like forever has Bama coming in and the line is sitting right below a TD. Tell me their not begging you to take big bad Bama. Reminds me of ARK so much as far as the line goes. What makes it better is that SC lost their last game, if they had won I wouldn't like this game but coming off a loss and Bama looking so great makes this a play for sure.
Tulane - Is there a line that stinks more?
Kentucky +7- More of an anti fade of Auburn who I don't trust on the road. To me this line seems a bit high. Used a lot of energy and emotion last week with Arkansas coming up next.
USC if it gets to 10 I think I have to play it. Coming off a disgusting game like that as a 9 point fav should cover this number. Seems like Stanford is the hip pick of the week. Not sure but there is value here and no one will be taking USC.
These are the games that jumped out to me this week. Who knows WTF I'll be taking on Saturday but since baseball is off the next couple days thought we'd talk some college.
In the NFL I am leaning
Broncos +7
Bills +1
Oh shit I forgot this is a baseball forum so I'll be taking Reds game 1 +?. I have just gone to three different forums and 95% of the people talking about this series and opening game are giving them zero chance so naturally I will fade. No clue about the TB game, I just can't take Lee as a dog for some reason. I may take the NYY game 1 on the -1.5. Doubt it though, I do like the over for TB and the Yanks. Funny I think I took 2 overs the entire year. As of now only thing for sure is Reds game 1.

sorry to be off topic, but any chance you finish your "most important nba" thread?
There's a better chance of Greyhound becoming a good handicapper. If he comes in here and gets down on his knees and apologizes I may reconsider. It's a shame, it would've been one of the most important, informative and greatest threads in the history of Covers.

Auburn pretty much had a bye week last week. Torched Louisiana-Monroe 52-3. Starters barely played. It's been 2 weeks since the South Carolina game.
I'd expect a very focused effort from Auburn here against Kentucky. Why you ask considering a showdown with Arkansas the next week. I'll tell you why.................because Auburn lost to Kentucky last year at home for the first time in 40 or 50 years. They took them very lightly and Kentucky walked into Jordan-Hare and stole a victory. That won't happen again this year.

Some good points, nothing locked in at all for Saturday. Still a lot of time left until than and my card will probably change three more times from today. Only game I really like as of now is AZST.

165 you dont think tampa looks too easy in game 1?
Just my 2 cents... Disagree completely, think opening Price as -130 fav.. makes it real easy to take Lee at +120. I feel the Rangers are trendy upset for the series.. don't see it happening. Best of Luck to who you decide

yea you may be right.but i mean anyone who knows baseball..knows lee has been struggling and has a back issue..tampa also has beat lee 3 times this year...tampa also plays really well on the road and texas is mediocre on the road..david price is elite status..and taking him at -125 just looks tooooo easy..

Hockey from a value standpoint the best sport to bet on and even better than baseball. I played ice hockey for several years on a club team as a kid and love the game. I am going to really put in the work this year and dedicate myself. I am not going to play much the first couple of weeks and let the season play out a little but I think I will post my plays. Hockey forum is by far the best here at Covers.

Agree Dusty Baker should have the quickest hook in the playoffs. The series is
set up, so they can and should be very liberal with their bullpen usage. The
Reds need to take advange of their bullpen depth and surplus bullpen arms, and
not count on their young staff to match Philly pitch for pitch.
Wood/Bailey/Masset/Chapman/ Rhodes/ Codero allows the Reds staff to look for 4-5 good innings for their starter. This schedule gives them a chance to reduce the amount of work that has to be carried by the weak link on this roster - the starting pitching - and they should take full advantage of it. Might take some of the Series price as well

At first glance I thought the same thing but as I mull it over there is an over whelming amount of TB love game 1, much more than I anticipated. When people look at the pitching matchup they will see Lee is 0-3 with an ERA over 4.6 against them this year. I had no opinion on the game yesterday but I feel tomorrow I will be on Texas and the Reds. If Texas could ever jump out to a lead I don't think TB's coming back. To me the real line is a pick and I don't think gamblers like Lee considering how he fucked them all season long with Texas. GL .
