What are your thoughts on the Pads/Dodgers game 1st inning. My instinct is to go no runs, but I haven't been good in betting these types of plays.
You are correct. These are some of the hardest plays to decide on. And if you look at my threads I initially started the season with NO Runs Scored in the 1st Inning. And I went 0 - 5. Not even a win. I just accepted the losses. And those were all instinctive and statistical plays. Do you remember Clayton Kershaw giving up a run in the 1st inning against another quality pitcher, that was one of the losses. The problem with choosing NO was pointed out to me with a lot of the posters was the juice was too heavy. And I took that into consideration and looked back that more than half of my choices had runs instead of no runs in the 1st inning. So, I started YES last week and so far the results have been well.
What I do is look at the matchups before the start of the games and take both the situations and try to not pick instinctively. Because instinct will always point towards NO. And this is a YES thread.
Then I block out the games I didn't take into consideration. So there are just games that I wouldn't touch. Unfortunately, I didn't take the LAD/SD 1st inning game into consideration. Sorry about not being able to answer your question.
