Unseated a couple races ago at Monmouth. Sore elbow they are sayinig.

Why?  Because he lost a few races where you bet on his horse?  Leading money winner four years running.  Not sure how you overrate that.  18 million last year.  Those are facts.  Not my personal 'ratings'.

gomez is good, im not saying hes not....but hes not the best. john velasquez and mike smith are both better. gomez has been slipping very badly lately. he did win the keeneland meet but thats mainly because he rode in pretty much every race on a favorite most of the time. not very impressive. maybe hes back on crack

well, for the fact you think Smith is just as good doesn't do it for me. But I am very Northeast based. My favs are Bravo, Prado, J.Velaz, Gomez.

Look after Chuck C. Lopez as well a lot.

Things sure haven't been going good for Gomez lately.   


Gets taken off Lookin for Lucky because of poor rides then the horse wins the Preakness

Lets Dublin almost go into the grandstand

Now he's hurt

how can you not think mike smith is a top jockey....he has the job of riding the best horse and everytime he rides her, he has to deal with so much pressure and never gives a bad ride. as far as the other jockeys you mentioned bravo has always been awesome but prado hasnt been the same for 3 or 4 years and the other 2 arent even worth typing there names

mikey smith will plummet in the earnings standings once Z retires.  the guy is very overrated i hate when i like the horse he rides.

so he's gonna ride monmouth which is friday, saturday, and sunday but he will ship to belmont, the spa, and del mar for the big ones . . . all of which occur on saturdays and sundays minus holidays except for the spa which will run a G2 here and there on a wednesday and friday.  it will interesting to see how this works out.

 

the true test will be if he has live mounts on wednesday to friday at the spa when he is bolting for monmouth for the weekend.  the reverse doesn't apply since monmouth doesn't run on wed/thurs. 

if i am on owner out here in inglewood or del mar with a G2 or G1 why would i beg him to fly out if i could get bejarano, t baze, espinoza or even snatch russel from up north?

actually no it is mikey smith.  del mar race 6 the first saturday he is on ghostzapper in a 6.5 sprint allowance morning line is 1/9 when he wins by a half lenth we can all go out in san diego and toast mikey telling him how awesome he is.

mike smith rides perfect in every big race.....example....jacksons bend in the preakness....perfect ride and almost won with a horse that shouldnt be near the finish. anybody else rides zenyatta she has a loss on her belt in one of those races

any mike smith doubters now....hahahaha.... wins the belmont on a horse that noone else could. finishes a very close 3rd in the preakness on a crap horse.....top 3 jock in the country without a doubt....gomez finishes dead last.

I could ride Zenyatta and win,,and last time I rode I was 9 at the County Fair...
