Bling I don't know you, but from your posts I can tell you know whats what.
My point in that argument was this. Is it really that unreal to think that a mother who is looking for a way out and is burdened by their child (much like Casey Anthony) might be even 1% more likly to kill their kid because the woman in this high profile case got away with it? They could very easily think to themselves, if she got away with it, so can I. I think thats a pretty just point, and to compare an emotional teenage girl to a pro athlete who has everything to lose is not even comparable.
Wouldn't they both be facing the same death sentence if a murder was committed in a state that had the death penalty? So what you are saying is that a professional athlete facing the death penalty for committing murder has MORE to lose than a young Mother who is also facing the death penalty?
Murder is murder. Both groups would lose their life if found guilty. How does one group have more to lose than the other?

No, again there is a huge difference between a teenage mother who wants to have a free life. The only thing stopping that mother from having a free life is her baby.
A professional athlete already has everything he wants. Money, fame, fortune all of that.
So to say that a pro athlete is just as likly to kill 2 people as a teenage mother to kill her baby is obsurd.
I can back it up with facts because their are certainly more infant deaths caused by their mother, than double murders by a pro athlete. You can't even argue that

I think we've both gone off point a little since the first page. I think we both can agree that a great injustice was done today and it could set a very dangerous precedent in the future.

Why not You are saying a court verdict will encourage more people to do the same because they think they will get away with it. But you state only certain court verdicts will do this. First, I disagree with your premise (see Hutch's perfect response), secondly what credentials and expertise do you posses that qualify you to say what verdicts will cause more people to perform a criminal act and which will not?
P.S. Not sure what knowing me or not has anything to do with this conversation.

So what, that has nothing to do with your hypothesis.

Yeah we can all agree to disagree about all of this. I feel horrible about the outcome of everything that happened in that courtroom today.
I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure in the next few years infant deaths will rise.
You're right, I dont have any credentials and you can take everything I said with a grain of salt, but we were all teenagers once. I think we all know how emotional teenage girls get and again to compare a teenage girl to a pro athlete is not a fair comparison

Lmao while this whole argument on casey anthony got me way more heated than expected today, I respect other opinions and that would be dick to say someone has no common sense for disagreeing.
