This is an very intriging matchup... I'm very interested in watching this game. If TCU wins this game their in the drivers seat for a BCS bid... I don't care if Boise State wins out also... TCU will get the nod. Sharp

This will be a great game...maybe the best game of the weekend??? TCU D is the real deal, no doubt about that. Clemson is improving and Spiller finally busted out last week. I am not touching this one, but I will definately be watching it..should be a good one

I am heading out to the game on Friday. Going to be awesome. I can't believe we are getting points in this game. Has there been a team that has underacheived more in the last 5 years than Clemson? Always ranked high then blow it. That being said I think it will be a close game, traveling to a BCS conference team is always tough. Hadn't heard any buzz around here that would make a difference in the game, if I do I will let everyone know.

Frog, I haven't looked at a boxscore yet, but was wondering if you had any info as to how Texas St was able to put up 21 on the TCU defense? I was leaning Texas St in that game, but wanted 42pts so I laid off. Texas St has a good offense, so I figured they'd get 10 or 14 pts. I'm leaning TCU in this game, but wanted to see how they gave up 21. Did they rest starters on D? Any info is appreciated.

joe, Texas St isn't a bad team. Their ranked around 15th in the FCS and their quarterback is solid. I was not surprised at all that they scored on them, just surprised they scored 3 times!
The Clemson offense hasn't impressed me much at all yet. The QB looked lost during the GA Tech game, and I have a feeling Spiller is a little more banged up than we are being led to believe. But that's just my opinion. I still can't decide on this one and will probably find a better game.

I'm not high on a team that's beat Texas St & Virgina this year...whee!!!.....
Taking Clemson here...at least they've played someone...
Take a look at TCU's record over the last 10 years. Consistent winner. They also beat undefeated Boise State in their bowl game last year to finish the season ranked #7 in the nation. You get high on Clemson and their shaky quarterback and I'll take the 14th ranked Horned Frogs with 3 points. I wouldn't be so quick to overlook TCU.

I was at the game, one of the TD's came after we lined up offsides on the punt and extended their drive and another came on a blown assignment, no one covered the back out of the backfield rolling the opposite way of the line and he caught a 5 yard pass and went 80 yards untouched. Coach Patterson was extremely pissed about the defensive effort after the game. He was quoted as saying "I would have been mad if we won 56-0, so you can imagine how mad I am that we gave up 21 points." I think he will have these guys ready to play. I think Spiller will be bottled up, and if they have to rely on the QB I like TCU's chances.

To tell you the truth, I like TCU in this game. TCU has proven that they can play with the big teams in the past, just ask Oklahoma 4 or 5 years ago. Clemson, to me is just a little above an average team. They can be a REAL GOOD team at times, but they are just like Florida State, a Jekyl & Hyde team. You don't know what team is going to show up on Saturday. You expect them to have a really good year & they end up having a mediocre year. TCU plays in the Mtn West confernce which is a pretty good conference. People laugh about that conference, but it's pretty good. I see TCU UPSETTING Clemson in this game, especially with Clemson RB, CJ Spiller not at 100 % & questionable.

This is an very intriging matchup... I'm very interested in watching this game. If TCU wins this game their in the drivers seat for a BCS bid... I don't care if Boise State wins out also... TCU will get the nod. Sharp
Sharp, IF, IF, IF TCU & Boise State go unbeaten, I don't know what your opinion is, but I would like to see a rematch between these 2 teams that met in a bowl game last year play in like the Fiesta Bowl this year. I say that the bowl committee give a chance to the smaller teams for a change & match the up in a BCS game which both teams would deserve IF they both go unbeaten!! The game would still sell out, because it's featuring 2 teams that are unbeaten & people would be anxious to see these teams in person & it's a BCS game. Also, I feel that the TV ratings would be real good!! Look at what Utah did to Alabama last year in Bama's backyard!! Look at what Boise State did to Oklahoma 2 years ago!!! This is just my opinion. Sharp, what do you think?

Thanks Frog I'm not too impressed with the Clemson QB either. Still trying to decide on TCU or not.

LRPisano - I don't disagree completely with you... problem is Boise' conference... what's the next respectable team in the conf.? Fresno State? Mountain West is a better conference.. that's why TCU would get the nod... also, I know those under dogs won.. but then you also have to look at a Hawaii BCS bid and look what happened, not even competitive... I think that's the hang up... the committee wants good matchups and when Hawaii happens it doesn't help change anyones mind... Hey, if they both have 1 loss then maybe they'll matchup up again.. it was a good game. ALL I KNOW IS GIVE US AN 8 TEAM PLAYOFF and we won't have to discuss this... and yes I know, then the #9 team will say "what about us", and I'll say "you had 8 spots and you didn't make it", shouldn't have lost that 1 or 2 games, or you should have played a harder non conference schedule if your in a smaller conf. That's all I want for Christmas is a playoff. Sharp

Just checked the weather update for Saturday & it said RAIN!!! If it does indeed rain for this game, that gives TCU even MORE of an edge with their GREAT DEFENSE!!! Clemson & CJ Spiller will most definitely be SLOWED up on a wet field!!!!

So only Clemson has to play in the rain??? Then def bet TCU!!!!
Clemson has a great defense too, and their numbers are against MTSU, BC, and GT, which is light years more impressive than Texas St and UVA. I'll take Clemson with the home field advantage, Death Valley gets loud...
